“The hotel can't be considered a 4 stars hotel. My room was small and narrow, without air conditionig (I found a fan!) the mattress was unconfortable and no mini-bar or complimentary bottole of water (I would have paid for it arriving late in the evening). In the bathroom no water mixer but 2 different taps and a small sink. Incredible that I paid 328 GBP for 2 awful nights. Employees at the reception lost my business card with the details to issue the invoice I gave them in advance not to waste...

“A lovely historic venue, the food on the whole was good & the staff were excellent. However …… On the Saturday night of my long weekend, the venue had an event on. The music was unacceptably loud & it went on until nearly 1am which impacted the enjoyment of my stay, causing me to cut short my exploring the beautiful Durham area the following day due to fatigue.
