We'll BE BACK
The place was even better than we expected, the customer service polite and prompt and very accessible. LOVED the house.. pretty, lots of great decor details, very comfortable clean beds and furniture, generously stocked kitchen, laundry, & baths, great shower size and water pressure, lots of hot water, our 2 pooches felt very welcomed and considered, yards fun, and of course very nice neighborhood. We were there in July and wished we'd booked longer than our 3 days. There were several very intense thunderstorms that were fun and comfy to observe from a cozy safe inside. My 8 year old granddaughter has already claimed another visit at the exact same house.

Cute little house
Cute and comfy. Layout of bedrooms is a little odd but nothing we couldn’t get used to. Host worked with us nicely regarding check in.

A memorable Birthday 🎂
Adorable older cottage. Clean and stocked with everything you need. The porch was wonderful for the games and wonderful conversation and celebration for my birthday. The dogs really enjoyed the fenced in yard.

Very nice well maintained, just around the corner from the beach.
Rented this property for our yearly vacation with our grandson. It was clean well maintained. Close to the beach and shops, screened in porch for playing games. It was great!!

Loved this cottage!!!
Great location! Close to the beach and the park. Everything you need in the kitchen for making meals. Spacious living room. The yard is fenced in, great for our fur babies. We surely will be back!

Cute CottAge
We loved the cottage. Check in/out was smooth with no problems. The only thing negative is the air conditioner had to be kept at 72 degrees and with 95 degree weather, it was not cool enough.

Pleasantly surprises
Diane was awesome we had a couple of concerns about the property but Diane and her group was always there to help with a resolution. The walk to the beach was quick and the best restaurants was only minutes away. This property is pet friendly my yorkie had a great time in the back yard but the screen porch needed some minor work. And I think with most rentals the mattress could be better. But overall I would do it again. Thanks to all Mermaid Cottage staff your the best.

Great location
We had a wonderful time. The property was in a great location and had easy access to the beach. Very cute property but the outside needed some TLC.

Cute & comfortable cottage
The listing didn't make it clear that in order to go from the Queen bedroom to the living room/kitchen you have to either pass through the King bedroom or go outside to carport & re-enter through main door. Wasn't a problem for us, but some might not like the arrangement. On the other hand, being able to enter Queen bedroom from carport might be a plus for some. The screened porch is awesome. Plenty of parking

Girls weekend getaway
The house was cute and decorated very well. Had nice towels in the bathroom. Loved the outside screened in porch. The outside area needed some attention. The hammock was worn and tattered. The outside area was muddy and needed some landscaping done. If you are expecting to bring 6 people the max adults be prepared for a very tight living quarters. The host was wonderful checking on us. Overall a wonderful stay. Would like to stay in one of the other cottages closer to the beach.

Very nice home, would gladly rent again!
Upgraded to much nicer, larger property , for same price. Management had champagne and a nice card for our 50th anniversary. Good people! Also, owner gave us an extra day, no charge! Over the top nice!

Great vacation cottage
Wonderful beach cottage for our family & dog! Easy walk to the beach, restaurants, stores, etc. Screened in porch is great for eating at home & avoiding crowded restaurants. This was our 2nd time staying at the Fun In The Sun beach house & we can't wait to go again!

Perfect getaway in paradise
Tyne has been our family destination for years now, but this is our first time staying with Mermaid Cottages. Fun in the Sun was the perfect spot for our family! Cozy, super cute, and close to the beach; the screened in porch was our favorite! Would definitely recommend!

Great Family Fun
Our 1st trip to Tybee Island and will not be our last. Mermaid Cottage definitely went above and beyond on making us feel welcome and making our cottage feel like home.

Dirt and Ants
A cute little rental, but... When we first walked into the property I saw a piece of carmel-corn stuck to the floor of the living room, swarmed by ants. My wife noted the floor felt sticky. She put on a pair of clean white socks which became filthy after one walk across the living room floor. Never had a problem with any of our other three rentals in Tybee.

And yes, you do need to bring shower soap ~ living by the ocean we don't like small containers, and most guests don't like to use 'used' shampoos and soaps, so we chose to do without. Not worth the money
The furniture needs cleaning, it's very stained. No effort was made to clean the screen porch as there was a dead, petrified lizard, several dead cockroaches, spider webs and the furniture was dirty. The screen door to the home was falling off, the 2nd bathroom toilet leaked and the only locks on the doors were on the door knobs. Although we enjoyed our vist, we will not stay there again. The price was too high for the conditions.

Fun in The Sun
The process couldn’t have been easier from start to finish. Love that we didn’t have to go to an office to get keys. Was great having sheets and towels provided. So glad we were able to bring our two small dogs with us!! The cottage was perfect size for us. So easy to unload and pack up with no steps! Fenced in yard was awesome for our dogs though there were a lot of biting flies around the outdoor shower so we didn’t use it after getting bit up. The swing in the front was very nice. Yard was otherwise bare and bland however. Felt like living room furniture could have been more comfortable but was fine. Location was good with about three block walk to beach at 10th or 11th street. Overall we were very happy with Fun In The Sun and hope to come again sometime. Thank you!

Truly Fun in the Sun
Fun in the Sun was the perfect property for us! There four adults and two young children in our party. There was plenty of room in the living and sun porch for all of us to hang out when we wanted to be together. We loved having two bathrooms and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower. The property was close enough for walking to the beach and grocery store. We hated to leave!

OVERALL IMPRESSION WAS GOOD. A FEW COMMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION. 1) PROVIDE A LISTING OF TV STATIONS SO RENTALS DO NOT HAVE TO CLICK THRU MANY , MANY STATIONS TO FIND THE ONE THEY ARE LOOKING FOR. 2) AD SAID LOCATION WAS 4 SHORT BLOCKS TO THE BEACH. THIS WAS A LITTLE MISLEADING AS IT WAS 4 BLOCKS TO THE PARKING LOT AND THEN A GOOD WALK ON THE BOARDWALK TO FINALLY GET TO THE BEACH. A LITTLE TOO LONG FOR SENIORS CARRYING CHAIRS, UMBRELLAS, COOLERS ETC

Tybee Island Mermaid Cottages
Comfortable, clean, convenient and well decorated. Check out a bit early, but all went well. Would recommend as a prime rental.

Tybee Cottage Relaxation
Fun in the Sun cottage was just right for a relaxing trip to Tybee Island and Savannah. Clean and well equipped with comfortable furnishings. Mermaid coffee was a nice treat! Walking path was a block away for safely walking our dogs and for biking. Easy to walk to groceries, restaurants and shops- and the beach is just a few blocks walk. Comfortable king size bedroom, laundry and screened room. And with adjoining room that could have slept another family of 4. Great communication with Mermaid Cottages staff before, during and after our stay! Would come back for sure!

Mermaid in Heaven
We had a wonderful stay in the “Fun in the Sun” Mermaid Cottage. We even had one day of sun to enjoy the beach. Nicely furnished, comfortable bed and everything you need! Communication was exceptional!
