2022 4th of July Stay Misleading Location
My wife and I were very excited when we initially came across this nice listing in "Union Pier". However, we were quite surprised when we received the address of the actual location in Baroda, MI...30 minutes northeast of Union Pier. The stay at the home was enjoyable, and the owner was attentive and helpful. The home sits on a nice small inland lake, NOT Lake Michigan as one might expect from the listed location. The inaccurate and extremely misleading location was quite distributive to our trip as it added an hour drive time to our daily plans in Union Pier. If you're looking to stay in Baroda, MI, this is a great place. If you are looking for Union Pier, this is a bait and switch.

Quiet and Great Location
My husband and I spent a long weekend at Sanctuaire and it was magnificent. Quiet, plenty of cute little wildlife on the property and lake to watch and decompress from city life. Mona was a great host!

Relaxing Setting With Great Fireplace and Hot Tub
We have only rented this cottage in the winter but summer on the lake with all the owner's water toys would be great I'm sure. The lake is stocked. There are good area restaurants and lots of wineries. Owner is easy to work with and very accessible.

Adorable cottage on a Lake
We had a great time here with our dog. He loved exploring the property, canoeing, and hiking the sand dunes at Grand Mere State Park. Perfect long weekend getaway.

Private, peaceful, and beautiful
We spent a beautiful weekend at Sanctuaire. It was everything advertised and more. The view of the lake from the property was spectacular. The house was well kept and comfortable. The owners were very responsive and helpful with our questions, interacting with us in a timely manner. It was a perfect getaway from the city. We would definitely return.
