Beautiful Kits rental
We enjoyed our stay in Kitsilano. The apartment is close to so many shops and restaurants. Very walkable. The kitchen was well equipped and the place was clean. Sam's welcome video was very helpful. Some of the furnishings could use updating and the beds were a bit firm for us, but all in all it was a good stay

Perfect apartment
The apartment was in a great location, a quiet road in Kitsilano, a few minutes walk from bus stops, a cafe, and a short walk to the beach. The apartment itself was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Sam was very quick with responding to any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this apartment, and would happily stay there again.

Beautiful Kitsilano Apartment
My family stayed here for a full week and the apartment was amazing. Very clean, perfect location. Has all the amenities you need. Sam was very responsive and helpful! Would absolutely stay here again.

Great location and great stay!
We couldn’t have found a better location to spend a couple weeks in Vancouver. Minutes walk to beach, shops, restaurants, and more. House was bright, clean, and had everything we needed. Sam was easy to contact with any questions. We were sad to leave!

Well done! Five star!
Everything was well done...well located to beach, shops, grocery stores, downtown; well appointed, including fully stocked kitchen as well as games and puzzles; and well managed, with owner dropping by to say hi and organize the garbage / recycling. Great place that is true to its listing. Would stay here again for sure. The only comment would be that any car larger than the one we rented (RAV 4) might have trouble fitting in the width of the garage.

Quiet + scenic place to stay
My family stayed here while they were in town to visit us. We liked the location and the fact that it was walking distance to the beach as well as restaurants and shopping on 4th ave. The home was clean, well stocked and quiet. The only thing I would comment on is that the bed in the 2nd bedroom is small. I think it is double. I would suggest to upgrade it to queen or two twin size beds. The temperature inside the home was comfortable despite the fact that there is no air conditioning.

Great Spot!
Really enjoyed staying here! Only piece of feedback would be the couch upholstery falling apart/shedding, which Sam was quick to acknowledge (and from what I understand, is already in the process of being replaced). Would definitely stay again!

Family members who lived in Kitsilano recommended that area and it worked for us. The rental is one of 3 units that consists of a split house with another small apartment in the back yard. We were in unit #1 which was modern, had a fully equipped kitchen and was well supplied with bathroom items including ample towels. I shared a few concerns with the owner and will list them at the end of this review. Noise was not a problem as this is a residential neighborhood and whomever was in unit #2 was not noisy. We are active seniors and walked miles every day making use of the excellent bus system. Downtown Vancouver was an easy walk and or bus ride. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops along 4th street and similarly along Broadway. We used the New York Times article "36 hours in Vancouver" along with the usual guidebooks and family recommendations all of which worked well. This rental was one of the costliest we have used via Vrbo and one of the nicest. I would have rated this a 5 star except for the following: The floors could have been cleaner as it's a Canadian custom NOT to wear shoes indoors. There were no Kleenex or napkins. There was no lockbox or safe for passports and other security items. The couch in the front room is in decay, shedding artificial leather like particles whenever we sat on it which regularly stuck to our clothing. I would have covered that couch with a sheet or blanket if there had been any extras in the apartment.

Wonderful spot!!
Really fabulous homemade for us during our trip. Great neighborhood, easy walking to loads of stuff, from restaurants to the beach. We took the little ferry from the Maritime Museum over to the city a few times - again, easy walk there, easy walk up to shopping area etc in the city.

Great property in a great location
This is our second time at this location. It’s walking distance to grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, beaches and more. The property is exactly as listed. Its very clean and has a well appointed kitchen. It was very comfortable for our family of four. We had a problem with our washer, but Sam responded immediately and it was fixed quickly. Look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful apt in great location. Easy walk to Kits Beach and to stores and restaurants along Fourth Ave. The Kitchen was well stocked and there were tv’s in both bedrooms. Although we were out exploring most of the time, it was nice that there was a Scrabble board. Would stay again.

Great Stay; Very helpful and responsible owner
This property was just as advertised. Perfect location to walk to the beaches and to all of the shopping and dining in Kitsilano, one of the best, if not the best neighborhood in Vancouver. The unit was bright, spacious and clean. The kitchen is user friendly and allows for all types of cooking. The deck off the master en-suite was very convenient for grilling and for use as a private access in and out of the unit. The beds were comfortable.

Perfect for families

Yes, we would book this property again!
The host Sam was very accommodating host, listening to his guests needs making our stay comfortable. He even went out of his way to install a portable air conditioning unit in the master suite during the Summer heat wave. The home manual/Hostly video was well explained and easy to follow. If we had questions Sam was always there to help. This property met our expectations. The neighbourhood is very quiet and located close to everything. Loved that parking is located on this property and the landscaping was a gardners dream! Cant wait to stay here again!

Simply perfect!
Two couple vacation everything was clean, beautifully decorated and better then the pictures. Walk to the stores, restaurants and there was even alittle Hollywood on the corner as a TV show was being filmed.

Family Vacation in Vancouver
The place is nearly perfect for a week-long vacation in Vancouver. The only downside is that it’s a little far from the beach (with big hills) and there is no view of anything except the back alley trash cans and myriad of outdated apartments. The place is very clean and well appointed with lots of thoughtful details. There are two other units in the house, so some privacy is missing. This was our first time in Vancouver and overall, we loved staying at this VRBO.

Beautiful Arts & Craft Home in Kitsilano
This was our first time in Vancouver, and we all really loved staying in Kitsilano. We rented the second floor of this amazing Arts & Craft style home, and it was clean and beautifully decorated with thoughtful amenities that made us all feel like we were home -- even down to a board game drawer that we discovered and used! Anytime we looked for something, it was there. Loved the "no key" entry and exits into the home and property. Thank you Sam for being such a helpful and responsive host! Would highly recommend this property and hope to return some day.

Fabulous place in a great neighborhood
My family recently stayed in this fabulous modern apartment. The owner provided very helpful information and the apartment seems brand new, high end and has everything you could need. The location is also excellent, just a few blocks from shops, good restaurants and the beach. It also comes with its own garage, which is key. Overall an fabulous place to stay.

Lovely Kitsilano
My family and I loved staying in this rental. We loved walking or biking everywhere (restaurants, parks, downtown). The garage space is perfect to keep rental bikes and helmets out of the weather. Sam provides many of the conveniences that you normally need to go out and buy when you rent a home vs stay at a hotel. There was tea and coffee, laundry and dish detergent, Kleenex, soap, shampoo, conditioner, paper towels and toilet paper enough for our entire stay instead of the “starter pack” most places provide. The finishes throughout the rental are gorgeous and everything is in pristine working order. Two quirks that I don’t think are mentioned is that there are stairs to access the front door and that you are the middle unit, so you can occasionally hear the people above you if it’s rented and they are home and you need to be aware of the people living below you. All in all, a fabulous city dwelling vacation rental!

Great for small family with toddler!
We enjoyed our stay at this nice, fully stocked, and clean property. Within walking distance to beach, coffee and other shops, grocery stores etc. Very safe neighborhood. We had a minor issue with stove that owner responded to quickly, so it didn’t interfere with our meal. All appliances are new. Garage is tight, but our minivan did fit and we just had to be careful backing out. We enjoyed the back patio area and there was a shared, fenced green space that was perfect for our toddler to run around. We also appreciated the highchair and the stash of new board games for the family to play.

Absolutely beautifully kept / maintained / decorated property in Upscale Kitsalano. Everything from cups and plates to pillows and soaps are provided and in excellent condition. In a great location - this location is close to Whole Foods, many restaurants and shops - yet off the main road so there is no noise from traffic or people. An absolute pleasure to stay here and we will again. I give Sam ALL the stars in response, and providing us with emergency transport to the airport during a snowstorm. He takes care of his guests with attention and respect. 5 stars - I would give 10 if I could!!

Beautifully renovated, quiet, comfortable and bright!
We spent 10 days in this beautifully renovated apartment. The beds were very comfortable; the location was ideal and great care was taken to fully equip this unit with quality appliances and finishes. To top it off, the host was tremendously helpful and always available to answer any questions. Highly recommend and a place we will return to.

Amazing property and host in a perfect location
Easily 5 stars. We brought our 2 year old daughter to Vancouver for a vacation and needed a two-bedroom place where we could relax and unwind in a more quiet area than downtown. Kitsilano was the perfect mix of family friendly and accessibility to all kinds of activities that she really enjoyed. The house is immaculate and newly redone to perfection. Super clean and very spacious for a 2 bedroom. You won't find anything else like this place, no expense was spared on the fixtures and remodel. Sam, the host, was extremely accessible and worked with me on dates while I was booking and even provided a high chair and pack-n-play crib for our 2 year old so we didn't have to bring them on the plane. He was readily available via text during our stay and the hosting guide he provided was full of awesome recommendations in Kitsilano and other parts of Vancouver. The ONLY downside is that it is part of a large house with a couple other units he's refinished so you can hear folks walking upstairs, but it wasn't enough to keep us or our daughter awake or anything like that, just something we noticed. Thanks again Sam, would certainly stay here again.

Fantastic place - better than the photos!
Sam’s place is in a great location with cafés and supermarkets nearby. Sam was very responsive and has clear check in/out instructions (do watch the video he sends before entering the property). He has put together a great guide of the area that we used all the time. You don’t need to do much research for restaurants- just follow Sam’s recommendations. The house/unit is beautiful and recently renovated. It was clean and comfortable for a family of 4. Kitchen is well equipped and all the appliances are new. We loved it and will be back! Thank you Sam!
