The marina cottages are cute, cozy tiny houses just across from Gray's Harbor. Because it was Xmas week we enjoyed the relative solitude and quiet of not having many neighbors in units next to ours.
We really liked having 2 separate sleeping areas in the room. My husband wakes and gets up in the middle of the night to read so I was able to sleep totally undisturbed. Efficient kitchenette.
This is not great lodging for relaxing as there is very limited comfortable seating. It is clearing designed to not hang out in the room unless you're okay with sitting on the bed to converse and watch TV. There is a small table and 2 wood chairs for dining but wasn't comfortable for much else.
The staff was very helpful. We left a coat behind when we checked out and fortunately they reached out to us before we left town and we were able to retrieve it from the maid service.
Communication was all done via email and we never had to check in at and office. We received instructions and a door code when our cottage was ready for us. Happily for us, we were able to access the cottage well before the usual later check in time of 4:00.
This would be a fun place to stay if traveling solo too.
