Fabulous accommodation!
The house is beautifully presented, immaculately clean and has a very welcome chilled bottle of wine waiting for the guests in the fridge ( along with 2 pints of milk which is always handy). Being so close to the city centre and with free parking is a huge asset.

Lovely house near city centre
Very clean throughout. Spacious open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room. Extremely well equipped. TV above bath a nice touch. Bedrooms perfect for us (2 adults, 2 kids aged 5 & 8). Two parking spaces just around the corner. City centre only a 10 min walk. Rowntree park (good for kids) only 5 min walk. Location was very handy for city break. Only negative was the shower head needs to be higher up, apart from that - fantastic all round :-)

Family Trip
This property is amazing and for anyone visiting York a perfect base. Right from the start of booking the owner was extremely helpful and flexible. The location is best of both worlds, Close to the centre but Bishy Road is a gem in itself you wouldnt necessarily come across. The house itself was beautiful with lots of lovely touches and very well stocked. We had an amazing time in this property and will definitely be visiting again. I couldnt recommend more!

Ferienwohnung zum Wohlfühlen
Die Ferienwohnung entspricht den Fotos und Angaben in der Beschreibung. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Innenstadt sind in kurzer Zeit zu Fuß erreichbar. In der unmittelbaren Nähe befinden sich Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und mehrere nette Restaurants. Zur Wohnung gehören 2 Parkplätze, die gut anzufahren sind. Vom Bahnhof hat die einfache Fahrt mit dem Taxi 5 £ gekostet. Die Gastgeberin ist gut erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Another Fantastic stay
We have stayed before and are already planning to visit again. The property has everything needed (and more) and was spotlessly clean. Two parking spaces is a bonus, we didn’t need a car as everything in York was in easy walking distance.

Perfect in every way
This is the perfect house in a perfect location and it has everything you would want to make your stay perfect. At the end of your road you have Bishy road filled with bars, restaurants, shops and Deli’s etc and you are only 15 mins easy walk from the centre of York. The house is super clean and beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and has everything you need. The surroundings are quiet and you also have the luxury of your own parking space. Great stay and will definitely come back

A gem -ideal place to stay in York
A really good house to stay for a break in York. Ideally located with parking a few yards away. It has great Wi-Fi well-appointed throughout with tasteful décor and top end appliances ..Made to feel welcome their-appreciate bottle of wine & coffee/teas biscuits etc made available to us. Christmas tree already lit awaited us on our arrival. Very quiet too and ideal for sleep and chilling out. Plenty of routes into York by foot -10 to 15 mins depending on where you go to in City Centre.” Bishy Road” which has plenty of shops/eateries as at the end of the road too. Excellent in every way & hope to return to finish off sightseeing in York

10 minutes to town, 20 minutes round the walls to the station and minster. Spotless property with lots of nice touches - ideal for our family of 4 who all had a great time. Heartily recommend.

A lovely stay
Immaculate property and very close to everything you would want to see in York. The extra bonus is parking is included. Communication with the host was great. This is the first holiday we’ve had that’s not been a hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sainsbury’s Local is within walking distance as are a few other coffee shops and restaurants. House super clean. Plenty of towels, clean and comfortable beds. Cosy and warm and lots of unexpected extras by the host. I have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone.

Great Christmas
The property was in a good location, only a 10 minutes walk into York. The home was spotlessly clean and welcoming. A modern kitchen with every convenience. Everything had been provided, it was a very personal service. The owners were easily contacted if needed. Guests will want to return.

Fantastic
Everything we needed for a lovely stay in York. The house was clean homely and just perfect. We love this area of York - close enough to walk to the centre but far enough away to have a break from the bustle! Local shops and eateries on the doorstep and several friendly traditional pubs nearby. Great to have a parking space (from which our car did not move for our whole visit. Rowntree park is a couple of streets away and a nice detour to walk through the park, across the Millennium Bridge and along the other side of the river into the centre.

The Perfect site to see the wonderful sites of York
Wonderful little property in a quiet part of York outside the city walls but within walking distance of all the main tourist sights. The house has parking, for2 cars, which is very handy indeed. The property is very well presented, modern and with all the appliances, gadgets and comfort you need for a great time. The hosts have thought of everything to make it a home from home and the welcome pack is a great little extra. We had a lovely time and would totally recommend it to anyone wanting a city break in York 👍 One thing to be aware of if you do a walk down by the river over the Millennium Bridge, there's a long diversion through Rowntree Park as the River Bank walk is closed for environmental work 😒

However, Rowntree Park is a lovely diversion and definitely worth a visit. We particularly like the reading cafe there which is a beautiful spot for a coffee overlooking the park. Such a fantastic home, everything that you could possibly need supplied. A bottle of wine tea coffee milk and great location. We recommend this if you are looking for a good location and beautiful place to stay

Our Stay
We had a fabulous time at this property in York. Perfect location for visiting the city, we parked the car on day one and didn't need it until we departed 5 days later. The property had everything required and was very comfortable. Caroline responded quickly to any questions. Will definately be back.

Wonderful property
A lovely place to stay. Location was brilliant just a 10 min walk from all the pubs / restaurants and shops in town and also just 1 min walk to the park. Parking was brilliant and easy. Rooms were fantastic with plenty of space for everything. Lovely kitchen and lounge space and brilliant facilities (TV, ovens, heating all superb). The host was great and really helpful and speedy responses throughout with any questions we had in the lead up or during the stay.

Wonderful
The whole package was fantastic. The owners have thought of everything and the fixtures and fittings are top notch. Location is great, local shops and restaurants 200 yds up the road, and a 15 min stroll takes you to the centre of the city. 2 car parking spaces are the icing on the cake! Best rental we’ve ever had.

What a gem
We’ve had a fantastic week in a beautiful home from home. The property is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could possible need. Perfect location, literally 10 minutes walk into city centre yet it’s set in quiet, peaceful location so lovely to relax after days exploring York and surrounding areas. The welcome pack was an added bonus and Caroline is a super host. We can’t wait to return!

Gem in York
Fantastic stay in a great property - which is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Everything was exactly as in the listing. South facing garden was lovely and we had breakfast outside each day. Fabulous location for accessing all of York's amenities. Communication with owner Caroline was excellent before and during our stay. We would definitely stay there again when visiting York.

Half term break
Took the family to York for half term. This was a great place to stay. Lovely property, comfortable and will equipped, very convenient location - we walked into town along the city walls, which was a wonderful way to see the town - and Caroline couldn't have been more helpful. A big thumbs up!

Perfect property in great location
We booked this property because it was located on the immediate outskirts of York but within easy walking distance of all the various attractions/ restaurants. Caroline the owner is great and has done a terrific job to transform a Victorian terrace into a lovely home. Highly recommend this property for any visit you plan to York. It is very well equipped, very comfortable and quiet!

Great house, great location
Great modern house in such close proximity to York city centre. Lovely extras waiting for us on arrival- house was really clean and tidy and a great space with the kids and a bonus of a train track to play with.

A great house in a great location
This is our second time staying at this property, it’s such a great house with everything that you need. Very easy access into the centre of the city by foot and easy to travel by car to anywhere else as well. Communication is great and the whole process is just simple. Will certainly be looking to book again in the future!
