We had a good stay at the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and was able to quickly accommodate a request we had about the room. The hotel is located a short walk away from the center of Zermatt; we personally saw it as a positive as it was quiet at night while still being walkable. I would be happy to stay here again.

Stephanie at desk was extremely helpful with tourist instructions. We really appreciated her help. The view of the Matterhorn out our balcony was unexpected and supremely wonderful.

Excellent hotel with great views of the matterhorn!! I made the mistake of getting a taxi from the station at a cost of 17chf but its easily walked in 6-7min. If you've never been to zermatt before be prepared to spend a lot of money (nothing is cheap)..

Love this hotel!
This small hotel was perfect for our ski vacation in Zermatt. The room was excellent, in-room coffee top notch Nespresso machine the breakfast was phenomenal. Bed was comfy. The location to all the great restaurants and shopping was close and convenient. There is a SUPER convenient ski storage locker and boot warming room, both locked and you unlock them with your room key. They have a “wellness room” with a lovely steam room, sauna and a recovery lounge where you can just lay and rest on a lounge chair, water and towels provided. Cute little bar in the lobby, although we didn’t use it. They give you a welcome drink of Prosecco or juice upon arrival. You will need to catch a taxi to get to the Gornegrat ski lift, but no big deal.

It was a wee way away from the main part of town, but was quiet. There are several nice places to eat nearby. The evening turn down service was a nice touch.

The Albatros Hotel is located just 200mts from the town center. The rooms are super spacious, best hotel bed I’ve ever experienced, incredible views to the Matterhorn, the breakfast buffet is varied and tasty. To highlight the attention of Annette and Valentina, which made our stay even better!! I cannot suggest this hotel more, it’s a YES!

We loved this hotel! The owner was working the night we checked in and upgraded us with a view of the Matterhorn from our balcony. Everything was so clean and well done, and the wifi is rippin' fast. Video conferences with the States--no problem. The hotel is off the beaten path in Zermatt which is nice and quiet but very walkable to shops and dining. We loved this place and highly recommend it!

Nice spot in Zermatt away from busy area
Very very comfortable room, nice hot tub, a bit noisy outside room as foot traffic passes. My room didn’t have much of a view. If the listing doesn’t specifically state there is a Matterhorn view then it doesn’t have it. Didn’t matter for me as it was cloudy anyway. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but was good to have available. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again!

Hotel Albatross was one of the highlights of my wife and my recent trip to Switzerland. Nestled in a convenient to reach, yet quieter part of town than the lodging off the main strip, Hotel Albatross offered an awesome place to stay for an affordable price. The facilities were very well maintained, the decor and “style” (interior and exterior) were a perfect fit for the beautiful town of Zermatt, and the people that we spoke with who worked there were extremely kind and helpful. We paid slightly extra than the standard room rate for a “Mountain View” room and it did not disappoint. My wife and I sat out on the shared balcony in the evenings to watch Matterhorn at sunset. If you’re in the area and looking for a clean, comfortable, nice play to stay at an affordable price, this place is perfect for you. Oh, last but not least, it’s an extremely short walk to The North Wall Bar & Pizzeria… order the garlic bread and a pizza. You and your taste buds will thank me for it!

Tres bon hotel. Nous avions une chambre econimique, pas tes grande mais tres jolie et confortable. Au calme. L accueil est tres sympathique. 10 minutes a pied du telecabine. Petit dejeuner excellent. Spa agreable. Hotel très bien tenu.

Wonderful stay, highly recommended!
We absolutely loved our stay at Albatros. The staff is incredibly friendly, our room was beautiful and spacious and on top of that we had a view of the Matterhorn from our balcony.

It was fantastic. We wish we stayed longer. The reception desk was beyond helpful for arranging taxi, driving us to the train station at check out, recommending good places to eat/drink. They also gave us a glass of presecco upon arrival and an upgraded room. Couldn't have had a better experience there! Would stay there again when we return.

Un peu éloigné de la gare mais très belle chambre
Chambre au rez sans vue sur le Cervin par contre très belle chambre avec une literie de luxe, une machine à café un peignoir, et des gants de toilettes ce qui est un plus pour moi. Bon petit déjeuné mais les oeufs brouillé et le bircher pourraient être améliorés. Pour le SPA il faut réservé son heure de passage à cause des mesures COVID.
