“Melissa”

Excellent customer service and beautiful hotel. Free wi-fi, not too far from the Metro. The only problem I had was that the bed was too hard but my husband loved it.

“Gauditastic!”

Highly recommended. Excellent city break! Barcelona Center Hotel was a great choice, clean, quite and in a great location. On the map (if you are not familiar with the city) it may look a bit far out, but it's not, the location is spot on. The room size was more than enough, the huge bed was very comfy and ample wardrobe space. Top marks, would visit again, the roof top bar and spa is a nice touch. Only dig is that was no tea/coffee facilty in the room, but thats not the end of the world. Thanks to the hotel for making our visit to Barcelona one of our best ever.

Check out the Gaudi buildings and park, the cathedral is beyond words.

“beautiful hotel, true 4 star”

Great service and beautiful hotel - nicest 4 star I stayed at during my 2 weeks travels through europe. only drawback, 10 min walk to beginning of the ramblas, then another 15 to beach, but that part is a nice walk through the tourist zone

“fabulous hotel”

fab hotel two blocks from pass de gracia with loads to do around it. great roof terrace mojito cocktail lounge, gym and sauna and two lovely jaccuzzis which were great after days sightseeing. three euros on the airport train to pass de gracia and a five minute walk gets you to the hotel.

“Beautiful area, lovely hotel and central location”

The hotel is in a fairly upmarket location, close to designer boutiques and a variety of nice restaurants that are within walking distance to major attractions such as Casa Pedera and Casa Batillo and the main shopping street, Passeig de Gracia. The only downside was the fact that the room was very dark as our window faced a walled compound which did not catch any sunlight so we had to turn on all the lights during the day. The plus-side was that it was extremely quiet (if you discount the faint rumblings of the understand which is not really a problem unless you are a very light sleeper). That was not really a huge downside as the hotel met all our expectations - was very clean, spacious, quiet, well-furnished and in an excellent and lovely location with lots of good restaurants all within walking distance. The front desk staff all spoke English. We felt very safe walking around at night even when there weren't a lot of people around (unlike El Ravel which is a pretty dodgy at night). We also had a late flight but the hotel staff were happy to store our luggage for us all day and we picked them up around 6pm. Would definitely stay here again and recommend for those who want to be centrally located in a nice hotel and away from the hustle and bustle of La Ramblas.

Arrivo a
Use the airport shuttle which will take you to Placa de Catalunya (main centre). From there it is about a 20min walk to the hotel.
Escursioni
It's worthwhile using the Barcelona Bus Turistic for one or two days as they take you to all the major (and some smaller) attractions which will save a lot of time as the sites are quite spread out. But there is also a metro station close by.
Pasti
Tapas: Cerveseria Catalana (a few minutes walk away from hotel but avoid the peak times!) Cafe/pastries: Mauri Cafe: Caelum (cafe is downstairs which used to be a mediaval Jewish bathhouse) - great for atmosphere and traditional sweets Seafood/paella: Xiringuito d’Escriba in Port Olimpic, El Poblenou and El Fórum (along the beach) - paella's are amazing as are their desserts. A bit steep (17.50 euros each for paella) but definitely worth it!

“Nice hotel in good location”

This hotel is fine. The room was comfortable and the location was very good. Close to tourist sights and the metro. I picked this hotel mostly for the hot tub and sauna so my girlfriend and I could relax after a day of walking around. I was quite disappointed. The sauna was fine but for the three days we were here one hot tub was freezing and the other was barely warm. Besides this everything else was nice. The shower does make a puddle of the bathroom so don't put anything on the ground.

“Would Roccommend...”

Hotel was lovely, great location. Rooms were adequate and comfortable. Bed was a little hard and we would have loved to have had breakfast there in the morning but it was just far too overpriced. The hotel bar was overpriced too. Great resturant around the corner... Ciao Bella.... Fantastic food and friendly staff. We ate there twice because it was so nice. I would definately request to NOT stay on the lower floors. We stayed on level 4 and we still felt the tubes going by and shaddering of the hotel. Higher you stay the better. Las Rambles is over-rated and it would have been nice to know that ALL the shops are closed on Sunday's. only coffee bars and resturants are open. All clothing shops are closed on Sundays. Would definately go back.

Dont eat breakfast at the hotel. very over priced. Definately catch the red bus to go sight-seeing. Well worth it.

“VERY NICE HOTEL”

this hotel is nice place to stay easy access to rambla cataluya ,the metro,la casa batllo + la pedrera my wife and myself stay for 5 night very nice of course i recommend thi hotel to others

“Excellent hotel, will definitely be going back.”

We arrived at the hotel before the official check in time and were able to check in straight away. The rooms were clean, tidy and a good size, the beds were very comfortable and made for 2 great nights sleep! The roof top bar is a bit expensive, but the 2 roof top jacuzzi's made up for it! The rooms were airconditioned which was greatly appreciated in the heat. Overall, a great hotel, a great location, the staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging onward travel and luggage storage if needed.

Las Ramblas is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel and there are a couple of metro staions within walking distance too. Just outside of the main attractions makes the hotel quiet at night.

“Great hotel in a fantastic location”

We only stayed one night in July 2009 and really enjoyed it. . The room was a good size and very clean. The decor is similar to the W hotel stle - greys, olives and blues. The rooftop jacquizzzi and hot tub were a nice feature and at night, you grab a cocktail at the bar. Great value and walking distance to catch the 'hop on and off' tour buses which take you all over the city. Another plus! Of course, one of the best tapas meals I have ever had in my life is down the block from the hotel at Cervezeria Catalunya. The sangria is fabulous! Highly recommend the hotel!
