“Every thing is perfect except the wifi connection is terrible.”

“The main problem is the round (not elongated) toilet bowl and its inconvenient location (too close to the wall). A strange case of hot water on the right and cold on the left in the faucets.”

“TV was good but there was no useful tv guide hard copy or on screen Canadian channels were difficult to find”

“Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!”

“Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed at a more reasonable price point than most in area. Standard but decent breakfast included. Would love to see coffee maker in room, and conditioner in shower - shampoo only. Appears new in listing photos but is actually a renovated comfort inn/motel. Main floor rooms all drive-up with sliding doors. 2nd floor seems more secure. Easy access to Go Station for visits into T.O. without the price tag. Will stay again.”

“The property is located in a good location easy access to highway, restaurants and shopping and hospital. Didn't interact much with staff but when I did they were friendly. As it is under the umbrella of Wyndham was disappointed in the appearance of carpets that had stains and looked very old and room was generally clean but drawers were not wiped or areas dusted. Not enough towels in the room for more than one person. I would stay again if needed but wouldn't be my first choice.”

“It is close to the highway, the room was comfortable with a mini fridge, microwave, and flat screen tv with streaming. The shower was a good size with good sized parking spaces. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Will come back again.”

“Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.”

“The commons spaces are bad maintained and the rogues are dirty and a bad smell is standing around even in my bedroom”

“Clean hotel, probably one of the cleanest I’ve been to. Good location , grocery store within walking distance. Attentive and polite staff, good parking.”

“Hotel OK but prices for this weekend 13th-14th June were loaded and excessive, just because of local events at the Tank Museum and the soccer in Toronto taking place. This practice should be outlawed because it indicates a level of greed. I have used this hotel a number of times over the years but will hesitate next year if the same price loading happens.”

“I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. There was plenty of parking space available, which made things very convenient. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The only downside was that the air conditioning was not working properly during my stay. Apart from that, everything else was excellent. Overall, I had a good experience and would consider staying here again.”
