“It was pretty small hard to get around in there especially the bathroom”

“Room was clean, however there is no microwave in the room we were in, the hot tub was broken, both the hot tub and the pool had floaties of some kind in them. The "breakfast" if that's what you want to call it had hard boiled eggs, waffles and 3 options of cereal and some additional options but no breakfast meat of any kind. I just think for the amount they are charging the breakfast should be better than what it is.”

“We noticed the bathtub seemed slippery. I asked for a bathmat. It was brought to room in less than 5 min.”

“Didnt go to breakfast, pool closed and we were not informed ahead of time or at check in.”

“The rooms were very clean and spacious. Bed very comfortable. The hot tub felt like we were getting drowning in chemical fumes… the whole pool area honestly just felt stuffy. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast! About 15 minute walk to St.Ignace downtown which was great! All around, we are very pleased with our time.”

“Upon arriving and checking in, we were given the wrong room - we reserved a Queen with lake view with a patio/balcony - we were given an interior room with a full bed. When talked to the front desk we were told that because we booked thru expedia and they were full, they give expedia customers last choice of available rooms. Next morning front desk said would leave message for the manager and we still have not heard back even after asking again at checkout - were told would have to call her on...

“First off there was nobody at the front desk when we arrived in the morning, we got there about 0130 and our room key was just taped to the main door in an envelope with my name written on it. I called to add an extra day since we would be arriving early they were unable to give us the same room booked for the next two days I understand but when I checked in to the other room at 7am it was ready??? Then when we got to the room we booked for saturyand Sunday night there were dirty underwear...

“Having a hot tub and pool open 24 hours was fantastic! Especially after walking and biking all day it was nice to soak in the hot tub. The restaurant being on the property was so convenient.”

“The location was very convenient, especially regarding shuttle service to the Mackinac Island ferry. The view of Lake Huron was lovely. All the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good.”

“Holiday Inn Express St. Ignace was pretty rough. We had a room on the first floor, which is technically like a walk-out basement. The room had a sliding glass door to the outside where a common firepit and chairs are situated. The lake and shore are right there which is nice. The room felt so shabby that we did not enjoy our stay. The edges of the carpet at corners and seams were frayed. The track to the sliding door was filthy. This hotel needs a refresh.”

“Worst stay ever. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the heater was not working properly. Despite the cold weather, the room never got warm enough, making the stay very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the shower curtain and curtain rod were already broken when we arrived, which showed a lack of maintenance and attention to basic room upkeep. Overall, the hotel did not meet even basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness. I would not stay here again.”
