“Property was very clean. Beds comfortable. Location to ferry was great. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Staff was friendly. They had a wonderful gentleman named Sid who had a knack for showing up at the exact right time to provide an enclosed golf cart ride to lobby/ breakfast. Would definitely stay again ”

“My biggest complaint is the uncomfortable pillows. Just couldn’t get comfortable, too hard. I will bring my own next time. The continental breakfast consisted of bagels, Cheerios, orange juice, apple juice & coffee. Our room was small but we knew that going in as it was stated. Room was very clean, recently repainted, etc. We would stay again. ”

“I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I was to stay here! Please read on to the end! I stayed in the Bavarian Haus for only one night, but enjoyed my stay. The room had a fridge and a microwave was available near my room. The breakfast had enough options to get me started for the day. “So, this is a very old property. That said, it is very well-maintained. I am of the mindset why not stay in a room that has knotty pine walls and mid Century modern furniture than the usual cookie cutter hotel. Parking is directly in front of your room door. It is 20 feet to walk to the lake front. It is a very nice walk up and down the lakeshore. “This was an older property, but very well kept with only a few minor cosmetic flaws. Absolutely loved that the room was waterfront with a balcony: you could hear the waves on the shore from the room. We enjoyed the fire pit that was on the beach and the continental breakfast in the morning: just enough food to fill your belly before a quick trip to the marina and ferry to Mackinac Island.
