“Close to MAD-Barajas and Offices in the Area”
This would not be my first choice for a hotel in Madrid, but it worked perfectly for the meetings I had in the area and taking into account that it is just a few minutes' drive away from the airtport. The hotel can use a bit of a refresher, but staff were very nice, rooms were big, and the assortment of toiletries supplied in the room was great. Free (slow) wi-fi, with a faster paid wi-fi available. Biggest issue - no irons in the room, except for the trouser press. Very annoying.
“Good alternative”
This hotel is a good alternative if you want confort, price and closeness to the airport.
“Worst night of my vacation”
Why? Because on their website, this hotel gives you directions for various forms of transportation: taxi, driving, and metro. As I had my bicycle with me, I chose this hotel because they listed one metro stop as the way to get there and nothing else...leading me to believe it was near the metro. After getting off and asking numerous people where this hotel was, I was told I needed to take the interstate to get there, and it was about 5 or 10 km away. I almost did, but before going into a tunnel ON MY BICYCLE, I decided to ask a new set of strangers how to get to this hotel. I was told to a sidewalk would take me all the way there. This was false. So after turning around and heading back towards any businesses that were open (industrial area, nothing open at night), ANOTHER hotel was very kind and offered me water, a place to sit, a map of the area, and VERY COMPLICATED (but correct) directions to my hotel. It is completely irresponsible of this hotel to imply that one could reach them via metro, and even moreso to fail to give directions beyond "get off the metro here." Further, their airport shuttle only runs between "business hours", so if your flight is before 8:30 pm, no luck for you. Also, as I said, it's not near anything, so if you're hungry past their restaurant's hours, no luck for you. Unless you want to take a CAB, because that's the only sane way to or from that hotel!
“Good Business hotel”
The internet here is not free. It cost about 6 Euros per day, but it was a fast/good connection. It is close to the airport, but the shuttle only runs on weekdays. I needed to go out on Saturday morning. I like the hotel. The staff was polite and helpful!
“Good hotel if you have a car”
The hotel is GREAT, modern, comfortable, rooms are clean as well as the rest of the hotel. The service is OK, on one hand the reception desk was good and helpful, but on the other hand there was no help from the doorman. For instance when checking out we requested a cab to pick us up at 8.00AM, we came down to the lobby at 7.55AM and there was a cab waiting already, I came to the doorman to ask if that was the cab for room 127 and his answer was "I don't know, go and ask yourself". I was in shock, and it wasn't a communication problem as Spanish is my first language. The mini bar has a good variety of drinks and snacks, and prices are fair, much cheaper than the hotel in Barcelona. For instance a small soda was 2.50 euros, in Barcelona I paid 4.50 euros for the same soda!!! My main problem was transportation, this hotel is NOT close to any metro (subway) station, I had to take a cab to get to the closest metro station and from there I'd move everywhere in Madrid by metro. The cab runs about 6.50 euros to CIUDAD LINEAL station (green line), and from there you can get to downtown without transfers (Callao, Gran Via, or Opera stations). I asked about the shuttle to go to the airport and was told that it works from Monday through Friday mornings only. Since I was leaving on Sunday I had to pay 26 euros for the cab to get to the airport. There is nothing at walking distance to this hotel, so you either rent a car or spend money on cabs.
“Great place to stay”
Great and convenient and VERY easy to find which isn't always the case in Madrid. From the airport we took the bus and were delivered just steps away from the hotel doors - all for 1 euro! Very good hotel to stay at, if you want to be close to the airport and not close to the city...
“Great if you are willing to stay a bit away from the center of Madrid”
The hotel was nice, the staff helpful. The room was also very clean and modern. The view was ok,the hotel is near a business area. The food - pricey and not that much selection. It was more convinient to have authentic Spaniard cuisine elsewhere. One pet peeve- If a hotel is going to charge extra for anything, please TELL us first. We got charged for breakfast and didn't know about the charges until the last day of our stay. Imagine our surprise when we had to shell out a bunch of euros for a paltry selection of breakfast! Please let patrons know of 'misc' charges in advance and let them make the decision.
“Business i Madrid”
