“We have stayed at this hotel multiple times when visiting the University of Iowa. It’s a budget hotel so there’s nothing fancy about it, and they say they’re a short walk to campus, which isn’t accurate, you do need to drive. This last stay we had a non smoking room that had been smoked in and instead of moving us to another room, they simply came and sprayed a freshener in the room. Not very helpful. “I forgot to tell them our room had no water pressure. It was literally a tiny sprinkler coming out. I almost took the shower head off myself and tried to clean it out but I didn’t have time. It was clean, but looks like it’s being renovated. It could definitely be a little better. It was a cheap stay but you definitely saw the rust on the bathroom doors, the over flow sink would go all over the toilet paper, some of the lights didn’t work. But it wasn’t a terrible stay. “The hotel was just ok. I didn’t have high hopes for a Quality Inn and it met my basic expectations. After I parked, I walked in and the two employees were outside smoking and the place had a faint smell of smoke throughout it.”
