“Lovely Hotel. Very modern and comfy bed. Area really quiet yet 2 minutes walk to lovely restaurants and 5 minutes from harbour. Valia very polite and arranged our taxi transfers. Check in quick and easy. Will stay again 😊”

“This is an absolutely fantastic hotel which is owned and run by a really lovely family. Everything is spotless from the public areas to our room. It is about a forty minute walk to the centre of Chania which was fine for us as we enjoy walking but there is a service bus a couple of minutes away. ”

“We stayed at Portou House for 5 nights and had an excellent time. Very good location in Chania Old Town. Communication was great from start to finish with Julia being very responsive. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine for my Partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. The only feedback we would have is that there was no full length mirror - think it would be good to consider including in the rooms. Many thanks Julia and team at Portou House. ”

“Stunning property in a gorgeous quiet location, owner is absolutely fabulous. Bus from airport is Euro2.50 and drops off about 15 mins away from here. Or taxi is about EURO30. Owner can arrange too. Really modern property, lovely pool. 10 minute walk to local bars cafes etc, then approx 10/15 mins more to Chania centre. Would stay here again in a flash. Pool area was perfect and relaxing after a busy morning wandering around Chania ”

“L'hotel si trova a pochi km dal centro della città che si raggiunge comodamente in auto. Proprio di fronte all'hotel vi è un buon parcheggio per l'auto. A piedi si raggiunge una spiaggia attrezzata molto comoda. La piscina è molto curata ed il personale del bar a bordo piscina molto gentile. La stanza è ampia luminosa nuova e con un bel bagno. “Tutto il personale dell'hotel Ideon è cordiale ed estremamente disponibile. La moglie del proprietario oltretutto parla benissimo l'italiano!L'albergo è pulito e confortevole, le camere non sono enormi ma funzionali. La posizione è ottimale: lontano dal caos del porto, seppur facilmente raggiungibile, si trova a circa 900m dalla stazione dei bus e 100m dalla spiaggia dove sono presenti bar e ristoranti! “We booked a one bedroomed apartment which was spacious and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily and all staff were friendly and approachable. Booking through Hotels.com I was advised that the air con and safety deposit box was included in that price which was a nice surprise.
