“Advert says they have parking, they don't have parking and it is difficult to access via car. Staff are brilliant. Rooms run down but it is cheap”

“The hotel is in a transition phase - they're in the midst of a reboot/refurb so things are still a bit up and down, though they did seem to be trying their best.
I stayed in one of the finished rooms and everything was just as you would expect. Unfortunately the hotel was overbooked so my colleague had to stay in one of the incomplete rooms. This did not at all match the description or pictures and was an experience to say the least.

“ My experience at Students Only Hollis Croft was very disappointing. Despite booking well in advance, I had to follow up several times before my reservation was confirmed. On arrival, the room had multiple issues: the mattress was not just uncomfortable — it was painful to sleep on. I ended up laying on top of the duvet and even some of my clothes just to make it bearable. The pillows lacked support, the hob did not work, the kettle socket was faulty, and the tap leaked.
