“The room was nice, though the nature of the bathroom meant that there was some mold hidden in the crevices and in the caulking. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, great at answering questions about Kyoto. The breakfast was a really nice variety of dishes, both Japanese dishes and Western eggs and bacon. Laundry is just coin machines, nothing impressive, but gets the job done. Would gladly stay here again when I just need a compact room for myself. I didn't see any of the larger rooms,...

“The place is fine for a short stay. It’s clean and has what you need. The rooms specifically the restroom are extra small and the beds are not very comfortable. So I would not recommend it for an extended stay. The staff is not typically available until the late afternoon so if you need any assistance in the morning or early hours you won’t have access to staff. My husband and I stayed for two nights and that was enough. There is an amazing sushi restaurant just around the corner about two...
