“We reserved this hotel because it accepts dogs. Using a third-party provider, we saw a $25 fee listed, but a message later indicated an additional charge. I was upset and wrote back that this wasn't stated on the 3rd party website, and the staff waived it. On arrival, the front desk employee tried to collect those fees, so I pointed to my message confirming the waiver. An older woman came from the office and created a scene before other guests, telling me to check the website for details. This...

“The hotel was very clean and comfortable and staff were really great. We were also very pleased with the breakfast which is included in the stay; the homemade fishcakes were a welcome surprise. The main areas such as the one with the fireplace is lovely with a feel for the history of the place. There's some little touches that need updating, but overall, a nice stay.”

“We arrived at the peak of the beautiful fall colours and the property and surrounding area were absolutely beautiful. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. The jacuzzi was large and filled up nicely with hot water, but trying to turn the jets on, even at the lowest setting, had too much splashing and so we couldn't really use them. The breakfast was SO good, highly recommend.”

“The decafe coffee in the room was good - not in the breakfast room or dinner bistro
I liked all , except for the products they use to clean /freshen up the smells - terrible . Bad for anyone with the slightest scents sensitivity- even in the elevators , and I assume on the rugs too.
I’d give full stars except for this scent biz”

“There seems to be issues in the management of the property, especially on the housekeeping side. First, upon arriving to my room, as I was preparing for a nap and undressing, a member of the staff came into my room unannounced, without knocking at the door. Second, on my second day, my room was cleaned and all my toiletries and other items, which I had left in the room, except for my suitcase, were taken away from the room before I had a chance to do my checkout. Other than that, staff members...
