“This place is incredible! We were a little worried when our driver initially dropped us off with our bags at the bottom of the steep road and said the road was too tight for the minivan to get through. We walked a little further than we should have, but we found the hotel and as we were escorted to our room our mouths dropped. The room is incredible! We were 3 people, but this place was clearly meant for 6. Two king beds on either side of a little staircase that took you up to 2 single beds...

“Misty Hills is located in the most picturesque part of Ella, to walk up to breath taking views of Ella Rock and Little Adams Peak is amazing. High recommended, staff and facilities were excellent. Special mention to Pannier who service was excellent. Thank you”

“Overpriced. Not even a night table in a 4 stars hotel. Room was more like a hostel’s dorm, 3 beds, so closed that the was no space to walk between them.”

“Et hotel med fantastisk udsigt udover Ella. Det var nogle fine og eneværelser. Poolområdet var lidt slidt og kunne trænge til lidt opfriskning, men igen udsigten var meget flot der fra. Personalet var meget venlig. Morgenmaden var ok, men ikke noget særligt. ”

“Location is very nice. Breath taking view from the room. Room was large and clean. Bathroom also clean and tidy. They served mouth-watering food. There is a very big garden area with many birds. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a unforgettable stay. ”

“We were on our honeymoon and had been staying in very luxury places but we fancied something different for a couple of days which would be an experience that we would remember. To get to the resort you have to get a 4x4 ride which is very bumpy (but you are going into the jungle so what do you expect!). After about 20 mins you make it to near the bottom of the valley. “This year, I have slept on multiple beds in multiple countries. Colombia, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Jordan, Sri Lanka, and Ella Green Cottages had the best mattress I've had all year. My first night at Ella Green Cottages was literally the best night of sleep that I had in months. Also, whenever I needed anything, the employees immediately stopped doing whatever they were doing and saw to my needs. Best customer service I experienced in the country. ”

“Great location, right next to the Main Street where all the restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is more of a guest house. Rooms are very basic - but very large. Can easily accommodate 4 people. Breakfast is either sri-lanken or western, they are very generous with the quantities. If you are looking for a 4/5 star hotel - it’s not the place for you. It is a low budget option for families who prefer that kind of experience. We enjoyed :)”
