Hotel a Abbazia di Holme

“The only positive from our stay, if it didn’t Happen, would have actually been a blessing . The front desk agreed to help us check in later than possible by leaving key in lockbox. Unfortunately, same desk clerk told us hotel was in Dumfries which has a road with a similar which led u s to council housing at midnight. Once we discovered the error we have another 1 hour 15 minute ride to “hotel”. Upon arriving, key was in lockbox, room was large but beds were from the 19th century, incredibly...

“We had a great stay. Our hosts were fantastic!”

“Our stay was absolutely amazing! The spacious, clean, and refurbished room with a super comfortable bed was just what we needed. The full English breakfast had generous portions, and every meal was delicious. The staff were excellent, chatty, welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere was fantastic! We loved every minute and can't wait to stay again. Highly recommended! 🤩✨”

“Clean spacious room and bathroom, comfy bed, expected noise from the service station but there was none. Will stay again”

“Despite retaining the old pub name, this is now a B&B only, so don't expect a bar or evening meals. The accommodation was good if a little quirky. Our bedroom had polished wood floors rather than carpet, but the beds were comfortable and the location was quiet. Breakfast (continental) is a help yourself arrangement and was fine. In our case, check in was done without the owner being onsite. He texted us the access codes. The bus stop for Carlisle was opposite the front door. We stayed one...

“A lovely hotel with wonderful staff.”

“In stile molto scozzese. Colazione a buffet buona. È un posto da cerimonie. Possibile trovare molta confusione. Un po' distante dal paese.”

“Pretty average”

“We had a fantastic stay at The Old Rectory. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was the most comfortable we had in a 3 week tour of the UK! The host, Dave was lovely. So helpful in recommending local sights, and made a wonderful breakfast and coffee in the morning. The location was fantastic as well, Easy to walk to the High Street, beautiful bridge and walking trails, Annan museum, and restaurants etc. Thank you!”

“Excellent communication from staff and really helpful and friendly”

“My wife and I had a fabulous 2 night stay. Our room was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was first class. The bar was a lovely place to relax after a long day walking. We would definitely return for another visit. I have only one observation to feedback, and its minor. The decor in our bathroom was tired and needs looking at. The bathroom was clean and tidy, but paint work and fixtures were beginning to show their age.”

“Well positioned in Cockermouth. Stairs upto bed rooms may be challenging for some guests. Easy parking, well stocked bar, pleasant communal rooms and garden. Best part of this hotel by far is the very welcoming friendly staff and superb breakfast.”

“We like e the position and the atmosphere ”

“Stayed five times, excellent hotel fro a short break away .”

“We have stayed here three times now & love the friendly homely atmosphere. The apartment is perfect for me & my son and he loves the swimming pool! The gym has plenty of equipment & my treadmill faces a field of cows & the odd pig which was lovely! Will definitely be staying again”

“Very nice room, good selection and quality of food for breakfast and lunch.”

“Castello del 1700 fantastico, personale di servizio super disponibile, ottimo ristorante interno ”

“We are here for a real quick stop. Easy location on and off the highway.”

“This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell. But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing.”
