“The Highland Hotel was very nice. As mentioned by others, it's in need of some love: new curtains, new bedding. However, that didn't change our experience. The restaurants were all nice and had much better food than their individual reviews suggested. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms don't come with refrigerators but they offer to store anything you need in their main fridge. Our daughter loved the pool and the playground.”

“Overall we had a good, comfortable stay. The lodge felt clean ( although a couple of towels and the bedding in the main bedroom smelt mildly of damp). The kitchen was well equipped and the shower was lovely and strong. We dropped a star because of inaccurate listing which said that WiFi was included. “We didn't pick this place ourselves, as our original booking cancelled two weeks before our trip, so Expedia picked this one for us. The place was very clean and neat, owner was very friendly and helpful. Only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't use the washer and dryer as it was additional fees that weren't mentioned in the posting, and the dryer wasn't working right anyway they said in the house rules. “Everything was great! Very cool property on the garden center grounds, super nice, friendly and helpful property manager. Very comfortable beds/living spaces was full kitchen and laundry appliances. The property was about 5 miles outside of town so not super walkable but an easy drive to the beach and town center. Would recommend for some peace and quiet! Would stay again no question. ”
