“My family and I enjoyed the stay at this property. Beds were comfortable, hot showers and plenty of bath water for a long soak after walking up Pen Y Fan which is just down the road. Kitchen well equipped, lots of space at the dining table. Stairs to the bedroom are steep which is normal for this type of cottage. There is a lovely outdoor space at the back. The owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for us. ”

“Great location. Quiet area. Good value for money. Ideal size for a couple. Pet friendly. Perfect base for hiking as only a short drive to popular peaks. Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring. ”

“Excellent place to stay. Beautifully presented, brilliant location, all the facilities you could want. Idyllic place to unwind, relax and forget about the world and great internet speeds if you do need to keep in touch. The views are incredible and is in the doorstep of all the attractions and of course, the forest. If your lucky enough to be able to book this place, I am jealous. ”

“Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size.”

“Had a lovely stay at the farmhouse. Enjoyed using the swimming pool! Very well maintained gardens. Only negatives were the shower not working very well and no WiFi. Otherwise couldn’t fault it!”

“Had an excellent stay in Mitcheldean. The house is very nice with lots of little touches that made a big difference (well equipped kitchen, board games etc.).Peaceful location with access to lots of nice walks nearby.Host was lovely and even made us some homemade treats for when we checked in. Would definitely recommended!”
