“I was traveling alone through the Cairngorms and chose to stay at The Speyside. What a great choice. I had a lovely suite with a generous living area and a comfortable bed. I arrived late after a long day of driving and was met with a smile and an offer of a late dinner - and what a great meal it was. A quick drink before and then a deliciously prepared meal with very friendly service. The morning was much the same - great breakfast and then off on my way. I'd stay here again any time and...

“Lovely bit of highland grandeur/history. Mostly just passing through for a local event so didn’t get the full experience. Wee bit expensive for room alone but no complaints about the standards/staff etc bar/dining facilities looked very pleasant ”

“Schönes kleines Hotel in einer grandiosen Landschaft. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und ständig um unser Wohl besorgt. Unser Zimmer war schön mit einem wundervollen Blick auf einen liebevoll restaurierten historischen Bahnhof. Wir können dieses Hotel bestens weiterempfehlen. ”

“The hotel is located within some outstanding scenery with Loch Alvie literally on your doorstep. We were all made to feel welcome, including Dizzy the dog , and the chefs produced some delicious food as we sat near a blazing log fire. Room and bathroom were very clean and well appointed. The only grumble we would have is that we were charged for our dog's stay on a nightly basis, to cover additional cleaning, as opposed to per visit, you would only clean the room once even after 2 nights stay.”

“Julie and I had a great stay at the hotel. Unfortunately we had to take Alfie, Julie’s scruffy wee dog at the last minute. I spoke to someone at the hotel and they kindly moved us to their sister hotel next door that allows wee hairy animals. We certainly would return again. I might even consider inviting Alfie as he enjoyed his stay too 😊. ”
