“No working iron in room. Was told that there wasn't another. Room cards worked erratically. Breakfast was fine, coffee awful. Staff were pleasant mostly.”

I checked in, the elevator wasn’t working so I walked through the stairwell which smelled like urine and cigarettes before getting to my room. It seemed more like a poorly maintained apartment building than a hotel. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and there were loud arguments going on throughout multiple surrounding rooms. “Noone at night guest do whatever they want party 1am to 6 am loud music playing. Air conditioner not working was loud banging and motor reving. ”

“We stayed at Visitation during our son and DIL marriage in the Frederick courthouse- afterwards we reserved dinner at Wye Oak Tavern. The environment, presentation and superior taste of food made for a memorable evening. They treated us with a glass of complimentary champagne to celebrate our night and we never felt rushed to leave that evening. It was a special night and our stay at hotel was superb - rooms were immaculate and comfortable- hotel grounds were lovely to relax.”
