“We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. Highly recommended and we hope to be back one day. Muchas gracias!”

“The house and the gardens are amazing! The large patios enabled us to enjoy being outside in spite of some rainy weather. We saw lots of beautiful birds.The neighbors were so friendly. We didn't have a car but one of them drove a taxi so it was easy to get to town, and another, Yadi, delivered delicious home cooked meals. It was a delightful experience!”

We would recommend it for anyone looking for a long term rental in a quiet small town near La Fortuna. There are a multitude of entertainment activities in the area. We did not rent a car and found Uber and taxi transportation readily available. All the recommended staff were excellent. They were very kind, timely and helpful when minor problems occurred. We visited the nearby la paz gardens, which was amazing. And we went up to see the poas volcano, which cleared up nicely for us so we get a good look. And of course loved our visits from mani and duke, the resident pups!! A wonderful stay in a beautiful home. ”
