Guest Access:

You will have the entire house to yourselves. Parking spots for 6 cars. Keyless entry with access code given 72 hours prior to arrival.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway on the water or an adventure-filled vacation, Portage Lakes provides a peaceful setting while still being just a short drive from downtown Akron and other local attractions.



Getting Around:

Having a car is the best way to explore the Portage Lakes area and nearby attractions. The home offers convenient parking, and you'll be just a short drive from restaurants, grocery stores, parks, and local entertainment.



If you're bringing a boat, several public boat launches and marinas are just minutes away. During your stay, you can also explore the lakes by kayak right from the property. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are available in the area, though wait times may be longer than in downtown Akron, especially during evenings and weekends.



Other Things to Note:

ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS



Guest acknowledges that use of the Property’s hot tub, sauna, kayaks and related equipment, lake and shoreline or dock access, fire pit, mini-golf course, bunk beds and ladders, and other recreational amenities is voluntary and involves inherent and other risks. These risks may include slips and falls, burns, drowning, collisions, changing weather or water conditions, physical exertion, equipment malfunction, property damage, serious injury, or death. Guest knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with using these amenities.



To the fullest extent permitted by Ohio law, Guest releases, waives, and agrees not to sue the property owner, Host Pros LLC, the property manager, and their respective members, employees, agents, contractors, representatives, successors, and insurers (“Released Parties”) for claims arising from Guest’s use or misuse of these amenities, including claims caused in whole or in part by the ordinary negligence of a Released Party.



This release does not apply to gross negligence, reckless or intentional misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be waived.



Guest agrees to follow all posted and provided instructions; properly supervise children; wear a properly fitted life jacket while using a kayak; refrain from using recreational amenities while impaired; comply with all health warnings, weight limits, age restrictions, and manufacturer instructions; and discontinue use and immediately notify the Host if any amenity appears damaged or unsafe.



Guest agrees to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from claims, losses, damages, or expenses resulting from Guest’s misuse of an amenity, violation of safety rules, negligent acts, or damage caused by Guest or members of Guest’s party. Use of every recreational amenity is optional.



Water and kayaks: No lifeguard is provided. Swimming and kayak use are at your own risk. Properly fitted life jackets must be worn while kayaking. Children must be actively supervised by a responsible adult. No swimming or kayaking while impaired, during storms, after dark, or when water conditions are unsafe.



Hot tub and sauna: Use may create risks for pregnant individuals and people with heart, circulatory, respiratory, blood-pressure, or other medical conditions. Consult a medical professional when appropriate. No glass, running, horseplay, unsupervised children, or use while impaired. Follow posted time and temperature limitations.



Fire pit: A responsible adult must supervise the fire at all times. Do not use during high winds or burning restrictions. Completely extinguish the fire after use. Children must remain a safe distance away.



Bunk beds: Use the ladder when entering or leaving an upper bunk. No jumping, horseplay, or more than one person on an upper bunk. Follow all manufacturer age and weight restrictions. Children must be supervised.



Mini golf: No swinging clubs near another person. Children must be supervised. Clubs may only be used for their intended purpose.
