Second time staying was just as amazing
Our return visit to Sally’s cottage was just as we remembered. It was clean, adorable, and so comfortable. The bed is fantastic. Our 8yo loved checking out the chickens and we ate some fresh eggs for breakfast. Sally’s hospitality is thoughtful and experienced. We will return again for sure.

Country Cottage Didn't Disappoint
Enjoyed our stay at the lovely Cottage. Very clean with everything you need. Hosts were super nice and great with communication. Hiked the trails nearby and UF was close for the football game and volleyball games. Saw a huge buck on the dirt road coming in. Would most definitely stay here again!

Great country cottage!
Lovely property that was conveniently located just a short drive away from Gainesville. We went to a Gator game and hiked the nearby trails. Sally was wonderful. We will definitely stay again!

Pretty & Peaceful
Spotless and charming. Out of the fray, but still close to whatever you need. A family of deer met us coming and going. We needed to be at UF, and got there in minutes. Highly recommend, would absolutely stay again.

Perfect Home Away From Home
We needed to spend 4 nights in Gainesville for multiple spring graduation ceremonies. A cramped hotel room was not a desirable option. I couldn't have found a better place to spend our downtime between all of the festivities. Sally & Andres were the perfect hosts and their cute guest house was everything we needed and more. From a comfortable bed, space to spread out to work on our laptops and having small special requests met - we wanted for nothing! The location is away from campus (about 20-25 minutes), but the drive is very easy and worth being out in the quiet countryside. Loved hearing the birds and animals on the property. Thank you, Sally & Andres, for sharing your home with us on such an important weekend for our family. Please give the kitty head scratches as we didn't get to see him when we departed :)

Nicely done remodel and very clean
The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The place was very clean. Bedroom sleeping arrangements were great. My 16 year old daughter slept on the pull out couch and said it was OK, but I would not recommend for adult. It was very convenient to our weekend softball event in Newberry. Well water definitely had an aroma but we knew going in.

Family Weekend
We went to Gainesville for parents weekend. We wanted to be a bit away from the crowds by campus. It’s about a 25 minute drive but very easy. Very quiet. The house is very well stocked especially the bathroom and kitchen. Comfortable master bedroom.

Comfy Cottage for Football Weekend
This well appointed cottage great for long weekend stay near Gainesville. Beautiful setting, very comfortable accommodations and delightful owners. About 25 minutes from the University of Florida campus.

Great Get Away Cottage
We booked for a Gator football weekend and really enjoyed the accommodations! We were about 25 minutes from campus. The cottage was the perfect size for a couple and was very clean. We'd highly recommend it!

A great little hide away
The property is well appointed and the host are on site and will help you with whatever you need. The property is in a rural area many restaurants available for takeout or dine in within 10 minute drive. Ginny springs and high springs nearby as well as Sante fe forest for things to do.

Can't be any better
This was my second stay here. It is still cozy, spotless, peaceful, and beautifully situated. The bed is really comfortable and the owners are on site and extremely helpful. As good as a rental gets!!!

Paradise Found.
This is an absolutely beautiful cottage. And, situated in a lovely out of the way neighborhood surrounded by trees and fields. The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. Especially that dreamy and super comfortable bed. We slept so well. Sally and Andreas offered a great selection of teas and coffees, bath amenities (the fluffiest white bath towels) and decorative touches that made you feel comfortable and at home. An added bonus is the outdoor covered patio with cushy patio furniture. The location is perfect for exploring Gainesville, Alachua and High Springs. The area boasts walking, hiking, cycling trails and water sports. Keep your ears open for Reginald. He is king of the roost on the property. We loved hearing him crow once in awhile. Sally and Andreas are warm wonderful hosts. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Wonderful
We were so pleasantly surprised by this property! We were visiting our son at UF,hotels were outrageously priced. This was about 10 miles of a super easy drive to see him but I would have driven 20 miles to stay here. Immaculate, everything you need plus beautiful picturesque property. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Loved it!

Very nice house in beautiful location
This property is located at the end of a dirt/sandy road in a beautiful, remote setting. The house is very clean and nice. The guest house is attached to the main house with a breezeway separating the two. It was enjoyable to sit out in the breezeway, sipping a cup of coffee and enjoy the sounds of nature. The hosts, Sally and Andres, were very nice and hospitable. Andres has quite the fitness setup in his garage which I believe was available as an amenity though I did not get a chance to utilize. He had some clients who came in to use the facilities while we were there. There are so many fabulous places to visit that are conveniently located nearby, so we were usually gone during the day. If you are planning to stay for several days take note that the guest house does not have a washer and dryer and plan accordingly. We would recommend this property because it is very nice, the hosts are extremely nice, the location is remote and beautiful and there are many great attractions conveniently located within a short distance.

Great place in a country setting that is a short drive to beautiful springs
This property was clean, well provisioned, safe, attractive, and all around very nice. It is a short drive to beautiful natural getaways including various lovely springs. The owners are very nice and available as little or as much as you need; they are also very responsive. I recommend it fully.

Cleanest and one of the nicest VRBOs
This was hands down one of the nicest places we ever rented. Pictures do not do it justice. It is much nicer in person. The owners are fantastic and very friendly and willing to go out of there way to send you to nice places in the area. We just loved everything about it. We will for sure be back. Another note. bed was great and all linenes and touches were so nice and so upscale. You could see the love that went into everything.

Immaculate guest house, lovely owners
This cottage was perfect for our weekend trip to Gainesville for a mountain bike race. We were minutes away from both San Felasco and Hailes Trails. My husband, 5-year-old daughter and I loved the property. It’s down a well maintained dirt road in what looks like a great neighborhood. We saw a deer on our way in the first night! Lots of beautiful old trees. The home is very cute and well lit at night. It’s furnished tastefully and was sparkling clean. Our bed was comfy and my little one slept without complaints on the pullout couch. There were plenty of towels available, shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. Everything we could ask for was available. Sally and her husband were exemplary hosts and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She even let my little one help her feed the chickens!! We plan on staying again for the next race.

Lovely Cottage in the Country

Very enjoyable
I stayed here with my spouse, house was super clean, bed was extremely comfortable, shower had great pressure and hot. Favorite part was the fireplace after a cold day at Ginnie springs. Highly recommend for couples.

Country Cottage
The cottage was beautifully decorated, quiet, and clean. We arrived to a tray of fancy cupcakes and a comfortable bed after a long day of driving. Great place to stay away from the traffic of Gainsville. Beautiful old oaks.

Lovely and immaculate
The cottage is a charming place to stay. It was very clean and amply supplied. The owners are friendly and helpful, if you need them. It is at the end of an unpaved road which was pleasant for walking the dog but which might be challenging for driving in rainy season. I would definitely return.

Sweet Retreat
The cottage was perfect for the two of us and our small dog. We loved the area and our proximity to the springs, local markets and eateries. Cottage is well equipped and it felt homey to us! Sally and her husband are very kind and ensured that our needs were met. Wonderful experience overall. Definitely considering returning!

Yes we are located in the country - 7 miles to town. Also no we do not list in the description that there is a washer or dryer in the cottage. Wonderful!
The unit was impeccably appointed. Was small but very adequate for a one bedroom. The treats left for us by the owner was unexpected but thoroughly enjoyed. We loved staying in the country with our two small dogs. Would highly recommend it to anyone. We are looking forward to returning soon.

Nice accommodations on the outside of town
This lovely guest house is attached to the owner’s main house on 4 acres of land. The two room house is nicely outfitted with everything one might need for a short stay like ours was, or a longer stay. We will not hesitate to stay here again and with family and friends in the area, we are sure to be back often. As resident of Gainesville and Alachua County for 40 years and having just moved to North Carolina in June, the location of this house was appealing to me because it is in an area of the county I have always enjoyed. It is truly in the country, but just a hop from the western edge of Gainesville, Jonesville and Alachua. It didn’t even occur to me when I booked this home that this was UF’s graduation weekend. I am certain had I looked at hotel rooms (which I didn’t), that I would not have been able to find one available, let alone one at the rate per night we paid for this house. Additionally, they allowed us to bring our Corgi with us. Thank you, Sally and Andres, for sharing your home with us. We hope to see you again soon!

Immaculate country cottage, peaceful atmosphere, super nice owners who are extremely responsive!
Would gladly re-rent this property. Tastefully decorated with everything I needed in the kitchen. Bedding was of very high quality. To say I was impressed is an understatement!
