I also recommend visiting other towns in the area, such as Pellaggio. The apartment is as described, beautiful, but for example the coffee tables in the living room are impractical, the teacup does not stay upright, let alone the wine glass. “Property was wonderful and in a scenic location but being there without a car limited our access to the lake itself. Would highly recommend to guests with a car but would choose something closer to train station if traveling by public transport”

“Terrazzo Torno is a remarkable and secluded getaway off the beaten path in Lake Como. Arriving at the Villa is a grand and private experience. It took some communication to get the taxi driver to the final location. He stopped at the Mandarin Oriental gate though I had told him we were not going there. “Clara and Gino are the sweetest and loveliest people. Besides the charming apartment which has the best views of Como and the mountains, they have decorated the apartment with a selection of books and travel guides. They are very thoughtful for the guests and have a well stocked kitchen including risotto rice, pasta and other cooking essentials, tea, coffee, butter.”

“The photos make it look bright and sunny. It was not. Very dark and gloomy which made us feel very depressed to be honest. And for the price….expected a much nicer place and amenities. However, the property manager was extremely quick to respond so it was nice to know if we needed anything we could reach out. 5 star on that aspect of things.”
