The young man who worked the front desk was very friendly. We were surprised at the condition of the hotel, which looked well worn considering the price was over $200. We went up to a room on the second floor after we were advised that there had been some difficulty with the plumbing. Right outside of our room was a horrible terrible smell of sewer, gas. I immediately went downstairs and talked to the young man who said there’s nothing he could do about it since we purchased our ticket through Expedia. We went back up to the room, the carpet in between the two double beds had yet to be vacuumed. There were crumbs on the carpeting. The bathroom had exposed plumbing, no cabinetry beneath the sink and the finish of the veneer wood was well worn and peeling off. The toilet was dangerously low for anyone with knee issues. My mom is 89 years old and had to use the tub to pull herself up from the toilet. I’ve never been in a commercial property with such a low toilet This property by no means is reflective of the normal Hilton stays we have incurred over our lifetime. I am asking to be fully reimbursed for our stay. Anything you can do to facilitate a full reimbursement would be appreciated for using Expedia again is in jeopardy.
