The downstairs bunk room had no heating- just a blank switch plate where the thermostat should have been. The host was unaware of this. The portable air conditioner in the living room let enough cold air in during a wind gust - that the living room was uncomfortable.These are all issues that I am sure this host will iron out - she was very responsive and easy to work with. “I was very disappointed with my stay. The biggest issue was the customer service. When I arrived, the front desk staff were basically unresponsive. I waited quite a while before anyone acknowledged me, and throughout the interaction they barely looked at me or seemed interested in helping. The room appeared fairly clean, but there was a strange, unpleasant odor. Yeah, overall, the lack of professionalism and poor customer service completely overshadowed the stay. I would not recommend this hotel...

“It was in a little old building with history. There are only seven rooms. There is no staff that greet you or is at the hotel, but you can contact them at any time. We just loved staying there. It is very clean very well maintained. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The cute little lobby has coffee, tea, and a sitting area for you. If you want to feel like you’re in Virginia City in the older days as far as the building goes, this is the place to stay. You won’t be sorry.”
