The Lake House at Darling Shores

Welcome to 'The Lake House' at Darling Shores!



The perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the Lake Life! This modern cabin is located right on Lake Darling, connected to 4 other lakes that are accessible by boat.



The property features two bedrooms with sleeping arrangements for up to 7 guests, one 3/4 bath, a kitchen island with seating for up to 4 guests, a washer & dryer, a Roku TV, and a spacious living room! There is also a private deck overlooking the Lake!



The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has a bunk bed with a trundle below it. In the living room, there are two futons which are most suitable for children.

About Lake Darling:



The Alexandria Chain of Lakes includes 11 connected lakes, five of these lakes can be easily navigated by channels which includes: Lake Le Homme Dieu, Lake Carlos, Lake Geneva, Lake Victoria and Lake Darling. The Chain is popularly known for recreation, fishing, and family fun!



Guests will have access to the entire grounds of the property, which includes a full play-set for children, a large dock, and a huge balcony! Also provided are yard games such as Bean Bag Toss, Yard Yahtzee and Floating Toys!

Parking Details:



This cabin has one designated parking spot that can accommodate two cars. Each paved spot is labeled in accordance with its cabin number. 'The Lake House" is Cabin number two.



Guests boats are welcome to dock at the property!

Great view of the lake and proximity to the water. Groiunds well maintained. Unit had many drawers filled with owners property. Appreciated that paper products were available to use. Shower size was the only negative.

We would stay here again.

The cabin was recently updated and very clean. Beautiful lake view. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of kitchen supplies. We did cook our meals while there. Enjoyed bike riding on the Central Lakes Trail and visiting the Runestone Museum.

Great Location to Bike Trails/Alexandria

We loved the cozy property and lake frontage view of Lake Darling. The accommodation fit us well (2 adults and 2 children). The quick ride to the bike trails was excellent. We would stay again.

Cute Cabin on "The Lake"

It's kind of the classic/quintessential "Minnesota Cabin By The Lake." Close enough to town that all of the amenities are within a 10ish minute drive, but tucked into the side of the lake to make it feel secluded. The place is small, it was just the 2 of us and we felt it would have been tight with any more people. It was clean and well provisioned.

Mid-Week Biking Get-a-Way

Perfect place to stay to bike both the Lake Wobegon and Central Lakes biking trails. The cottage was very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. We swam twice, great clean lake, would have been nice to have a ladder on the deep side of the dock to be able to get out easier. Other than that, perfect. Will probably come back next year.

My family really enjoyed this property! So close to everything, affordable, and great for kids! My children really enjoyed fishing off the 4 docks! We will definitely be returning for more fun!
