End of summer getaway
This is the second time we've stayed at this cabin and this time waa even better than the first time we stayed there. I'll say we've stayed at a few different places through the years and this is one of the best places we've stayed at. We can't wait until next year to come around so we can stay there again. The place has everything you could ask for stocked in it. The bedding is super clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a nice getaway I would highly recommend it.

The owner offered very detailed directions which were spot on and appreciated. Cabin very clean with supply of dishes and silverware if needed. And owner called to check on how things were going— very thoughtful.

Exceptional Getaway!
Our stay was incredible comfortable and the listing was spot-on. The property is situated on a gorgeous spot by a lake and is surrounded by large, gorgeous trees, plenty of greenery and the sounds of the wildlife made the stay (especially the mornings) even better. There is even a washer and dryer onsite that comes in very handy, especially if you take the time to explore the local parks and preserves. The property manager is especially wonderful! He made sure an item i left behind got mailed back to me, which I'm so grateful for! Do not hesitate to book this property, you will not be disappointed!

Peaceful Getaway
The property was very quiet and private and the cabin stocked with many essentials we could use. Although the water level was low, the view was still very pretty and I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a weekend to unplug and relax. Bobby was a great communicator as well, making sure that everything was up to our standards and answered any questions we had.

PEACE AND QUITE
We love the place. It is back in a more woodsey type area. When they lake gets the water back it will so nice.. But if you are looking for beauty of the green and the woods, Plus quite and nice neighbors. This a place for you . Safe place too.

Perfect base for local activities
Wonderful cabin near West Branch providing a perfect base for area activities. Cabin was clean, and fully met our needs for an extended weekend stay. The price was a good value and the published listing was accurate. Exceptional communication and responsiveness by the host. Cant wait to visit again!

Clean and relaxing
Communication from owner was great! Check-in was easy. We brought a baby and 2 dogs. Plenty of room for all of us. Kitchen stocked. Clean water to drink on the side of the tap. This was very roomy, did I mention clean!!!! We enjoyed the outdoors by the fire and it was peaceful and quiet. Thanks again!

This was a very nice cabin in the woods not far from West Branch. MI. It was very well maintained and comfortable, even in March in Michigan!

Quiet cabin in the woods
Quaint little cabin off the beaten path. Just what we were looking for. Do wish it had a smart TV so we could have some streaming options to watch TV. But we made due with the dvd movies.

The one and only thing I can say negative is that there is no internet because in this area it's just plain not available. Cell service is hit-and-miss as well. Other than that, this home is cozy, very clean and well kept, and very comfortable.

Underrated sanctuary
Sometimes you show up at these places and they are not as nice as the pics. This place is a lot nicer than the pics! We loved it and had a great time disconnecting and making memories. I will definitely be back.

Awesome stay
This was a great place, the cottage was super clean and well equipped with the items you always seem to forget. It was very private and had an awesome view. The scenery was beautiful. So peaceful, We would definitely vacation there again. As for the owner he was very friendly with all our concerns prior to booking, he answered all our question promptly. 5 Star all the way.

Pictures inaccurate and not "lakefront"
There's issues with the dam so the pictures of the cabin are completely inaccurate and honestly shouldn't be posted with this listing. It's the equivalent of posting a picture of a fridge in the kitchen and then not having a fridge present.

Hi John, our property is waterfront, however, when the local dams were damaged during a storm, state officials lowered the water so that repairs could be scheduled. We added language to our profile, clearly at the top, that states, "By renting this cabin, you are doing so knowing that the water level near this rental does not currently allow for boating or swimming. " In my e-mail communications to you I also noted that water levels were down due to a dam break. The good news is that the state and crews are working to fix the dam and water levels are expected to return to normal. We hope that at that time you'll choose to return.

Perfect Stay with my Mother In Law
I stayed in this wonderful cabin for an entire week working, while my mother in law came to visit from Texas. We both enjoyed the place very much. The neighbors are super nice and friendly! It is isolated, but only about 10 minutes to a bigger town with major grocery stores and shopping. This place was a real great place to stay and way cheaper than a hotel. I’m so thankful and grateful to have gotten to stay. I will book again if I’m in the area.

Great cabin!
Stayed with two best friends. The owner was great, checking in with us upon arrival as well as after check out. The central fan was wonderful and cooled off the house during the hot days. The river was very low so we weren’t able to use the water but we loved sitting on the dock and watching the wildlife on the river bed. Definitely recommend!

Lovely little spot in the woods
A great little house that had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway. Bobby called to ensure we had the directions he'd emailed since cell connection is spotty. This is a great semi-secluded spot to enjoy the northern Michigan trees. A nearly constant breeze over the riverbed kept it from getting too hot and also kept the bugs away! Make sure to check the disclaimer about the river, and don't go by the pictures because there is barely any water there now. Updated pictures would be nice since it sounds like the river won't be back for at least another year. We were able to enjoy kayaking on a nearby lake and enjoy walking the river trail in West Branch. We will likely be back someday.

Quiet, clean and relaxing
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was so peaceful, but still close enough to essentials like gas, grocery, and restaurants. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The table on the deck was perfect to eat at, or jut sit and relax. The house fan and shade kept it cool, and my little ones especially appreciated the toys and kids DVDs for when we wanted to wind down at night. We had a great time and would recommend staying here.

Can’t say enough good things.
This property was perfect to celebrate our anniversary! We still had neighbors but the cabin was secluded. Cabin was fully stocked with supplies including dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, salt and pepper, and even campfire roasting sticks. Plenty of blankets. The view was still stunning even though the river was down. We had fun exploring the riverbed. Plenty of small wildlife to see. During our stay it rained a decent ammount but we were still able to enjoy a good selection of movies and Tv shows he had to offer. There were also games, puzzles and playing cards available. Owner was very helpful with any queuestions we had and called us to make sure we had all the information we needed. Can’t wait to stay again!

Clean and Serene
This was our first time using VRBO and it was an excellent experience all around. It all went smoothly from reservation to checkout. Bobby responded to questions promptly. The cabin was extremely clean which was important during the pandemic. It is a very isolated location in this city girl’s mind. We saw 1 neighbor in 3 days. For a getaway where you want to be alone, this is your place. We ate all our meals there. The only thing missing was a 9x13 pan. Not a big deal! Did I mention the price? We’ve spent way more for way less. Value is second to none. Thanks Bobby! We will be back!
