Al's Place - Un posto per sognare

Il paradiso dei pescatori, il nascondiglio di Rafters, il boot-stop degli escursionisti, l'asso dei golfisti, le vacanze in famiglia, l'elenco potrebbe continuare all'infinito. Questa adorabile cabina sul grande fiume New in Summers Co, Virginia Occidentale, è nel cuore di tutte le cose turistiche. Ci sono tonnellate di posti dove pescare, diversi campi da golf, stazioni sciistiche, compagnie di rafting, sentieri escursionistici, il famoso New River Gorge Bridge, The Greenbrier Hotel, Glade Springs Resort, solo per citarne alcuni dei posti da controllare, e cose fare. Wild Wonderful West Virginia è piena di tante bellissime montagne e corsi d'acqua scintillanti. Al's Place è incastonato tra una montagna sul retro e New River sul davanti con un 3 lati schermato in veranda per sedersi e sorseggiare un caffè, giocare a carte nella notte o semplicemente visitare, grigliare e rilassarsi con buoni amici. Si trova a 3 miglia da I 64, quindi in pochi minuti puoi andare da una tranquilla e rilassante cabina al nostro piccolo caffè di campagna, Sandstone Eatery, negozi, negozi e tutti i luoghi turistici sopra elencati .. può ospitare 6 con 2 bagni ma ha un soppalco che se vuoi portare il tuo materasso gonfiabile per i bambini c'è abbastanza spazio per 2 a grandezza naturale, quindi sei appena passato dalle 6 alle 10. Viene completamente fornito con asciugamani, lenzuola, pentole e stoviglie, basta portare i tuoi oggetti personali e alcuni generi alimentari. Allora sei pronto per giocare, rilassarti e divertirti.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at Al's Place. Comfy, cozy with beautiful views of the river. Such a great location to explore the park with everything needed for a wonderful stay. We would love to return sometime 😊.

Yearly Family trip to Al's

Going to Al’s place is a yearly trip for us. Every time we go back, the Owner has made updates. Our whole family loves it. Our family of 5 love this vacation.

Excellent

This was a return visit for us to Al’s Place and once again we enjoyed every minute of it. If you like the river, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better location. We got hit with mostly rain but the screened-in porch made it possible to be outside and dry near the water. Great hosts, clean place, all you need is there. Thanks for having us!

Above and beyond

Stayed Mon-Fri everything wonderful, the cabin, being by the river, daily excursions and seeing New River Gorge bridge and trails. Pet friendly, neighbor cats and we bought seeds to feed the birds in the big backyard. The trains are part of the atmosphere and state history.

Al's place

We had a wonderful time. It's so quiet and peaceful there. The train was an extra perk. It was amazing to see how long some of them were. The river was a little high due to rains but it was nice to just sit and watch the geese bob down the water. Would definitely stay there again as it's located in the perfect spot to visit the many the states beautiful sights. Thank you so much for opening your home to us!

Nice cabin on the river

The cabin provided everything that we needed for a weekend. My only complaint was that we did not realize it was right on the train tracks so that was fairly loud. Other than that, the host was very responsive and helpful and I have no complaints.

Relaxation Plus

The property is well maintained. Very clean . It had such a wonderful screened in porch with comfortable seating . I so enjoyed my coffee early in the mornings out there . Great place for a fire down by the river . We had one every night . Very easy access to the river . It is just a very comfortable place to go and relax . Will definitely go again !

Great WV vacation

We had a very nice time at this property. The wrap around porch was great sitting in the evening and relaxing. The river is right there and has a nice calming effect. The upstairs area was nice for reading and watching a movie. Everthing you need is available. Ellen was very quick to respond and answer all questions. Really had a nice time. Only surprise was how close the train is.

Special vacation

Al's place is excellent. We have stayed 3 years and plan to go again. The interior has everything you would need. The yard slopes right down to the river with a fire pit and this year Ellen had some outdoor chairs to set around the fire which made that really nice. The screened in porch is wonderful with swings, chairs and a grill. We cooked in two nights and drove into Hinton to eat at The Market one night. We took our two small dogs and great yard for them to run in.

Very quiet, except for the trains...

The cabin is nice and secluded with a big yard and a private view of the river. We enjoyed sitting by it. The cabin is pretty well apportioned but I think it could use a good going through and throwing things away that are not needed anymore. The owner was very responsive to questions via text message. I think the biggest thing to know is there is a very active CSX train line right next to the cabin. It's very quiet when no train, but far from it when there is.

Cozy Cabin on the River!

We loved our stay in this cozy cabin for Thanksgiving! It was a great location for visiting New River Gorge National Park, and my children loved having the river in the backyard. We made a fire in the fire pit and ate hot dogs and s’mores, cooked up Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen, and enjoyed our days hiking. We had a great time! We want to come back in the summer to have more opportunities to do things on the river. Cabin was stocked with utensils, plates, cups, etc. I always said my kids could sleep through a freight train, and it looks like I was right. When the trains passed by I was the only one who stirred. :) Thanks for a great stay!

New River Gorge

The home was very nice and spacious for 2 friends. The setting on the river was beautiful and we enjoyed beautiful weather. The proximity to the New River National Park was perfect. We kept very busy each day of our stay. The kitchen, baths, and bedrooms were all well stocked for our needs. It would have been nice to have a "heads up" as to the proximity of the train tracks. The trains that went straight through were not really an issue...kind of fun to see (and hear). Not sure if this is a "usual" event but 3 out of the 4 nights we were there a train was stopped on the tracks behind the house the entire night with its diesel engine running. That was sometimes difficult to ignore. If a person was a light sleeper, they would have been agitated. We ended up not needing the heat turned on but we couldn't figure out how to turn on the heater that was in-between the living and dining areas. The directions in the notebook were not clear and/or we couldn't figure out what was supposed to open on the heater??? Maybe a picture in the notebook or a label on the heater? We thank you for your timely communication regarding firewood (which we ended up not being able to use due to the fire ban - thank you to your neighbor for giving us this heads up) and check in information. Will definitely recommend your place (but with the warning about the trains) to friends/family. Thank you. Beth

The best family time experience

First, THIS PORCH! From morning coffee and playful puppy corral to a rainy movie night, this porch was amazing! The view, the breeze, it was perfect. The cabin is so cozy, I honestly cannot say enough about how much my family enjoyed our stay! Even a few adults had to try the trap door with the kids! That fun little touch added priceless memories for us! We will absolutely be booking again!

Great getaway location on New River

Great location right on river. Very close proximity to active train track could be positive or negative depending on your group. Kind of neat, but also noisy, and was careful to close gate so my dog wouldn’t wander over to track. Easy check-in and accessible close to highway. Cabin clean and cozy, but some elements not great, like very low water pressure in shower and loud wall heater. Loved the screened porch. Overall great low-key getaway in scenic location. And thanks for being dog-friendly!
