WARNING! Major issues with payments and personnel
1) We were asked to pay the total amount for our stay as soon as we checked-in, although it had been already paid via internet on Expedia website. Unless we didn't submit a printed copy of our payment we would have been forced to pay double!
2) We felt that every single answer to our requests of services and information aimed to get more money from us.
We were suggested to rent a motorbike. We discovered not only that the motorbike was defective and had no papers or insurance, but we also had to find out by ourselves that we could not drive any motorbike or car with our European license. In case we were caught by the police without papers and with invalid license, we would get a fine and have legal issues. Moreover, in response to our request of explanations we were very annoyed to be blatantly laughed at by the girl at the front desk.
3) Taxes on extra services (food) were raised to a hyperbolic 33%, while we have been charged all over India around 17-18%! The personnel was not able to give any explanation about this! We even had to insist to get the receipts. It was impossible to get to talk to a supervisor! We were promised a refund that we never received.
4) Throughout almost our entire stay we experienced problems with the key to our room. Although we repeatedly asked for assistance, we have never received a new copy of it and were forced to depend on the personnel of the hotel everytime we had to get into our room.
