We had our annual family get together in Ruidoso. We are all familiar with the area and the Alto area is conveniently located and not far from restaurants and shopping areas. We had family from CA, NM, West TX, Central Tx, and the coastal area of TX and Ruidoso is in the middle of our family locations. The house was big enough for us to cook, eat, visit, and just enjoy each other. It was clean, well stocked, and our contact people were very responsive and helpful. The only reason that I didn’t give a 5 star rating was that I had looked for and thought that I had found a house that was wheelchair accessible. I did send a message questioning the accessibility and was assured that it would meet our needs. We got there and the living area, kitchen, 2 baths, and four bedrooms. The area was entered using a ramp with a smooth entry from the driveway into the house. The lower level also had smooth access to the bedroom and bathroom on that level. There is a lift that accommodates a wheelchair from ground to middle level that works well. The issue that we had was that none of the bathrooms were wheelchair accessible. The doors were only 2 feet wide and the chair would not fit through any of the doors. The bathroom areas were not large enough to manage if he had got in. That person and his wife could not stay with us as planned. They visited some during the day but had to leave so they could have bathroom access. The description of the property needs to be edited to show this.
