“We had a ceiling leak in our room of dripping water onto our bed in the middle of the night. I am still giving 5 stars because this was out of the hotels control and everything else was great”

“I appreciate the fact that many HI properties are the same plan. It makes for no negative anticipation for the next stop. In this unit the staff was cheery from the moment I walked thru the door. It sets the tone for a positive experience for the entire stay.”

“The standard room is nothing more than a Motel 6 set up and over $200/night. The doors are on an exterior walkway and have cracks that let in air, noise and light from the walkway outside. We could hear snoring and full conversations through the walls. The continental breakfast was breads and yogurt. The indoor pool was ok but only 3.5 feet deep and the only place to swim; the outdoor swim up bar was wonderful but you cannot swim in it. This is not a resort.”

“Needs serious updating. Door window frame to our room is broken. Blinds are broken/malfunctioning. Room and lobby smell musty. Check in staff did not explain how to get to location of our room—we were told to “go to the three buildings” for your room. That part was correct, we found the three buildings. However, we were on the bottom of three floors and parking around the back side was where we should’ve parked. We had to figure out which building and which floor without any signage to help us....

“A smart tv would be better so people have a variety of things to watch, but for a short stay, regular channels were fine.”

“The room was a nicely decorated and clean. Much bigger than a hotel. You have a small living,dinning and bar. I didn’t really feel safe leaving our car outside the building seeing homeless around . It was self park so you had to find parking on the street . And the train going off every night several times a night. Because of the parking and the train in the back of the building I would not stay here again.”

“Our stay at Chateau on the Lake was absolutely wonderful! The resort is beautiful, the views are breathtaking, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the amenities made it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. We can’t wait to come back for another stay!”
