“Very good hotel in the center of Chur”

“The good: host was very responsive, location is cool, lots of things to see, beds were comfortable (although pillows were horrible), kitchen well stocked with essentials. The bad: not well cleaned, or maintained. Not suitable for a family or those looking for a restful stay. Here’s why: Laundry machine was broken, and we would not have stayed here had we known that as we needed to do laundry along a multi-week visit to the area. “It is literally at the railway station. Free parking available for motorbikes. Cars can park for free at the nearby outlet or next to the hotel with a surcharge. The room was comfortable and clean. All new and modern. There was also a small bar. Breakfast basic but complete. Check-in procedure was smooth. The Hotel sends instructions before the arrival but in german. “Thank you for the stay, the tv wasn’t working quite right but they looked after us. The staff seemed genuinely sincere in making you feel welcome & comfortable. Lugging up the suitcases to the first floor was a workout but they have a small elevator to take over once you hit reception. ”

“Extremely small room on the third floor (no elevator), the shower was not in the room but on the second floor, private but it was just another small room with only the shower. Then you have to go down one floor with everything in hand, including a towel, take a shower, get dressed and go back to your room. The room was not cleaned the first day because there was no "to be cleaned" label on the door. This is usually used to "do not disturb", not to ask for cleaning. The second day I left the room...
