“So overall this hotel was an excellent option. My room had a great view, especially at night with the city lights against the mountainsides. The lock on the door, although it did lock, was a bit difficult and frustrating. However, Kandy City stay does get high marks for staff and their local tours. The hotel’s (mainly elephant park) was excellent and very economical. ”

“What a fantastic experience it was staying here. Please ask for Indu to pick you up and drive you around in either his spacious van or locally tuk tuk. He also has a small store nearby with a lovely helpful family. He is a gentleman. The host family are just beautiful people. Nothing is too much trouble. “Loved the decor of this place which was why we chose it . Didn’t disappoint. Really comfy bed with massive duvet to keep warm under. Loved having the separate lounge area as well. Efficient hot water systems in place for the shower and sink. Would have preferred a more traditional Sri Lankan breakfast but cannot complain about what was provided. ”

“Our overall experience at The Mango was quite positive. The facilities look very nice, our room was clean, staff is friendly and helpful and we had a great dinner on our last night. The only drawback was that it was noisy. When people sit in the restaurant area having a little party, it is difficult to nót be bothered by that when you have a room towards the back of the hotel. So bring your earplugs! Still a great place for backpackers.”
