“This was a wonderful house in a wonderful location. Almost magical-views out every window, well stocked. A virtual rabbits warren of thick walled rooms well decorated and festive for the holidays. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the walking paths outside and the playground across the street. Clean and comfortable.”

“Really good cottage only about 2 mins walk from centre of Ambleside. Had everything you need for a nice simple stay in the lakes. Great views from the front room over the hills. They’ve just had a car parking space put in which is very handy. Great communication with owner throughout. Would definitely come back.”

“Great house and well appointed with lots of bedroom space. Kitchen a bit small for 10 adults but expect it would not be a problem for families. Access to lake windermere was amazing and it felt very private. A few problem with upstairs shower but maintenence person turned up immediately. Would stay again”

“Amazing location and a lovely place with everything you could need for a super holiday in the lakes. Right in the centre but above it all so away from the hustle and bustle and very peaceful. Amazing views over Ambleside and the fells. Added bonus of the pool and spa. Very helpful friendly host. Would definitely return here.”

“Lovely cottage, compact but enough space for two of us and our furry friend. The outside space was perfect for Sasha. There is some road noise but it didn't stop us sleeping well. A little further from Ambleside than we thought though it is walkable. We would stay here again.”

“The house was excellent. The skies holiday host left a lot to be desired ! There were things broken in the property. He didn’t fix them and wanted to charge 20 pounds for an hour later check out - ! Which quite frankly when you are paying a lot for a holiday home is outrageous - especially as we knew there was no one else booked into the house. Such a shame because the house was amazing and we had a lovely time but that customer service would have made all the difference if it had been good.”

“This cottage is lovely and cosy, well appointed. V useful to have a washer/drier. Could have done with a bit more crockery, especially bowls and glasses and the wifi was very intermittent. However, a lovely place and very comfortable. Great location and views.”
