We ate evening meals at the hotel which were homemade and great quality and reasonable price. New owners have taken over hotel just over 2 mths ago and we found them to be very friendly, welcoming and hard working. I would leave a note for guests arriving early that they can leave their cars in the car park before check in as my partner kept going back to check with someone (anxiety) and there wasn't anyone around to ask. “The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.”

“Wonderful place to stay, a true country guesthouse. Easy 10 minute walk from Ambleside. The mountain view from my room was stunning, watching the evening sun over the Fairfield Horseshoe. So peaceful, the only noises you'll hear are sheep and birds. Highly recommended.”
