From here, you can board a lake cruiser from Waterhead Pier and enjoy the scenic journey down to Bowness-on-Windermere (6 miles). When in Bowness, make sure to visit the popular World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. For days of scenic walking, the dramatic summits of Wansfell Pike, The Old Man of Coniston, and Todd Crag are all within 9 miles.

Step off the quiet village street and into the welcoming hallway of this charming cottage, where you'll find room to kick off your muddy walking shoes. As eyelids begin to droop, head up to the first floor to choose from two pretty bedrooms: a master double with fell views and a cosy single room overlooking the rear courtyard.
