Review:
My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The property was under active construction during one of the busiest weekends for Iowa State University football, which made for a chaotic and unpleasant experience.
To make matters worse, the hotel had just changed all the locks and only had two working keys available—for the entire hotel. This meant that every time I left my room, I had to be escorted by a staff member to get back in. That level of inconvenience is unacceptable.
Construction materials and debris were scattered throughout the property, and the constant noise from the ongoing work made it difficult to relax. On top of that, the fire alarm was accidentally triggered by the construction crew one morning, causing an emergency response that included fire trucks. That’s not how anyone wants to wake up.
The condition of the room also left much to be desired. The chair in my room was visibly dirty, with what looked like an orange liquid spilled on it.
Overall, this was not a satisfactory stay by any means. I’m requesting at least a partial refund and will not be returning.
