Nature, beauty, family fun!

Lovely house on the water…beautiful views, comfort, excellent cooking and heated outdoor dining, privacy room for 3 couples plus their children, varied activities at the home and nearby. For our family, a highlight was observing wildlife: bald eagles, great blue heron fishing at low tide, an otter visiting daily, clams spurting water on low tide shore walks, etc etc.

Amazing Place

This was our third time staying at this property. It's absolutely stunning and perfect for our family of five adult children to come together. I do have to say, the owner was far less attentive than in the past, which was fine. I felt the extra amenities were sparse for the amount of people it sleeps. There is a washer and dryer but no laundry soap. Honestly, those are my biggest complaints. It truly is a beautiful place. Unfortunately, it has now far exceeded our price range. But for a property that has it all, this is it!

Beautiful waterfront property

We rented this property for our children and 1 and 3 year old grandbabies. It is perfectly laid out for multiple families with the two independent casitas. The house has a large, open concept living room and well stocked kitchen. The house, and all bedrooms, with the exception of the queen bedroom in the house, have stunning views of Similk Bay. We utilized the hot tub every day. Also spent a lot of time on the heated patio, even during some good rainstorms. Had a blast playing putt putt and corn hole. The property had a very nice pack and play, and a litany of toys. Dave was very available and a joy to deal with. Highly recommend.

Perfect getaway for a girls weekend

For my recent birthday, friends and family and I rented this house on Similk Bay for a long weekend. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. The property was well-kept, clean, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed having cocktails on the deck, the kids loved the putt-putt, and we loved taking plunges in the cold water. 10/10, would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Truly, one of the best rentals!

My family (group of 6) had a fantastic time at Dave and Diana's Similk Bay home. The house has a great layout that provides private space and communal areas that unite everyone (putting green, covered & heated outdoor dining area, firepit). The beach is excellent for taking a stroll, and water access for kayaks and other water toys is a breeze. Dave and Diana also generously shared fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared crab (thank you)! There are so many details throughout this home that make for a memorable and comfortable stay. We look forward to returning next year!

Family Reunion .. just perfect

Extended family flew in from the East Coast and we all agree the location and property could not have been better. The beds were the most comfortable we've EVER slept in with VRBO ... from heated floors to the fire pit to the putting green, literally everything you would need was there. We've stayed at over 7 properties in around Whidbey Island and NONE match this one. Truly superb. Here are some notes for future guest just as an FYI: The kitchen didn't have a lot of 'extras' as far as pantry items (I always bring everything, so not an issue. The owner is next door in his home. He's SUPER non-intrusive and you don't know he's there .. but it is RIGHT up against the rental, as an FYI. They have a late check in (4pm) and an early check out and then also have a list of items to do before you leave. This is always a bit of an issue for me as if I'm paying a cleaning fee, and I'm checking out early (10am), then to also have to strip the beds, take out the garbage and tidy up, seems like a lot to ask (on top of the cleaning fee). Maybe that's just me. We found the wi-fi to be top notch and lots of outlets, etc. Over all, just an amazing time and we would DEFINITELY book this one again (first time we've ever said that). Kudos!

3 generation 5 night getaway

Great property and super welcoming, helpful hosts! Dave and Diana live next door and were available when we had questions but they didn't allowed our family to enjoy the property undisturbed. Dave shared some amazing crab with us- he even cleamed and cooked it! the accomodations are exactly as described, the house and suites had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Our littlest guy (14 months) had as much fun as his 6 year old sis, his mom and dad and both sets of grandparents. There were games and puzzles and plenty of outdoor space and beach to explore. Bring your boat, kayak or SUP and enjoy the level beach access. a true gem, if youre considering this area- book your dates now! Thanks Dave and Diana :)

Great Getaway!

What an amazing property and home loaded with so many great amenities. Dave was awesome to work with and it was nice to meet them and find out more about the crabbing in the area. The home and view is spectacular and a great place to relax and enjoy the many different outdoor areas. Really a terrific vacation home to rent!

Such a great experience we immediately booked again.

This was the first time I stayed in a vacation property rental like this, and I was a little apprehensive about the whole experience. However, when we arrived, the property was so much better than the photos and description convey. The property is beautiful, spacious, peaceful, and great for families. We have two kids in college and they each had their own suite, including a bathroom and kitchenette. Water access is steps away and we were able to Kayak every day. The massive wrap around deck is a perfect spot to grab some sun, watch wildlife, and enjoy views of Mt. Baker from a large sunken hot tub. Internet connectivity was great. I highly recommend this property. The greatest praise for this vacation home I can think of is we immediately booked another stay.

Beautiful Home Away From Home

This property was a perfect set up for my family and grown kids to come together. With the separate "suites," the kids got to bunk together and stay up playing games without disturbing us. We loved the outdoor seating area, and it was perfect for all of us for meals. The bay was wonderful for paddle boarding, and even for a quick swim. This place is truly beautiful and very well kept. A slice of paradise

Wow, what a slice of heaven! This home and location are truly a gem and one of the nicest properties I've experienced. The house is beautifully appointed as well as thoughtful; full of anything you may need. We particularly enjoyed the surround sound throughout the home with satellite radio. We could kayak and SUP right off the stairs, had a crab boil at the fire pit and enjoyed games in the side yard. Dave is a friendly and gracious host who met us at checkin and is next door if anything is needed, although I can't imagine there would be. We loved making memories at this beautiful home. Would stay here again in a second. It's truly special.

Family Get Away

This place was amazing! Dave & his wife where so wonderful and they have literally thought of everything to make this place special. We had so much fun sitting in the sun, fishing of the bulkhead, going for long beach walks and searching for sea animals. The beds were so comfy, the view was amazing. We would definitly come back and spend another vacation here.
