Staff was very pleasant. The room is affordable but needs some repairs, refrigerator leaked and the fan in bathroom so loud it caused a headache when taking a shower, staff was notified at check out. Room had brightly lit lighting, need some dimmed lighting. Used tv all night as a night light vs a provided lights in room. Well lit and accessible to room parking...overall recommended for overnight accommodation on long road trips when u need that extra money for todays gas and groceries prices. Staff made aware at checkout and apologized for issues. Hopefully its fixed for the next guest.

We did not like the fact that they turned off the water to our room and they did not tell us that they were turning the water off they turned it off for the entire day without warning so we had no water in our room and the stairs leading up to our room after we requested to be put on the first floor because my husband walks with a cane were broken stairs I almost fell off the steps because the step broke and leaned backwards I tripped on it thankfully caught my balance or I would have felt and bashed my head off the concrete and the hotel staff was extremely rude about the situation they misgendered my husband they kept calling him she and ma'am on the telephone when we called to complain about the problem in our room and the fact that the steps were broken and we asked for a full refund and they said that they were not going to give us a full refund they were only going to refund us the one night because we were checking out early we didn't mean to speak to a manager they repeatedly told us that a manager was not on the premises and that one would be back in the building the next day we called for two days and there was no manager available for us to speak to for two days straight so we had given up after two days straight thankfully they did refund our money but we do not believe that that was still compensation for the trouble that we went through with this property we recommend that people do not stay at this hotel it's NASTY!

It was the only thing we could find for Parents’ Weekend. It’s old school, no frills, takes you back a few decades. We were hesitant wheeling our bags up the stairs and to the room. Another family was leaving their room and as we crossed paths, they said, “It’s not as bad as we thought it would be.” That is exactly how we would summarize our stay. If you want to stay in Ann Arbor and everything is booked, Red Roof Inn is your place!

The property is convenient to the University and the price is great, but you get what you pay for. The entire property is in need of updates and repairs. Paint is chipping, carpet is stained, bedding is stained and patched, furniture is banged up, etc. However, I have stayed here before and probably will again. It’s affordable and is quiet enough and all I need it for is a place to sleep.

The property is badly dated and the room smelled. When the fan in the vent was running, there was a strong odor of tobacco. I did not complain because I did not want to prolong the agony. It's not a place I would recommend to anyone.

The only problem I had was they made us switch rooms and buildings immediately one day at the drop of a pin and it was about 8am-9am in the morning. But they were nice when they called and gave me the time I needed. But perhaps for the inconvenience something could have happened other than this is your new key card. But I did enjoy my stay as always staff is awesome and they keep it clean.
