Nice place
Overall, this was a nice property. The bed, although only a queen size, was one of the most comfortable we have slept in in a rental property. Positives: 1) bed was comfortable 2) beach was secluded 3) quiet neighborhood 4) amenities worked 5) not too far from shops and dining Negatives: 1) all the pots, pans, and dishes has a grease or film on them 2) silverware and silverware drawer were dirty or had tge same film on them ( one fork went so far as to still have what looked like rice still stuck in between the tines of the fork). We had to wash all the dishes before we used them. 3) table was not clean ( salt or sand on the table when we walked in) We loved how the cabin was nestled in at the edge of the woodline and could see the ocean and beach. The paths to the beach were a bit precarious, especially going across the riff raff at the bottom of the stairs or path ( depending on ehich way we went). The welcome letter, instructions, and suggestions porvided by the owner were helpful and useful. We wouldn't mind staying again, but would suggest the owner double check the pots, pans, dishes, and silverware were clean before guest arrival.

Perfect place for our stay!
Perfect location very close to the beach access and can hear the waves at night. You can enjoy the view from inside but it’s easier to view the ocean outside. Large trees all around feels nice & cozy! We had 4 in our party which is a perfect size for this home. Its clean, plenty of extra towels, blankets and all the side small amenities. We enjoyed our location-close to everything we visited! Host communication was perfect with a binder of the area, hiking trails, restaurants & grocery stores!

Wonderful stay
The house was just right for our family. Cove beach and arch cape had wonderful sand dollars and tide pools to explore. The kids loved chasing waves during low tide.

Quiet, private, restful
Away from all the tourists and cars. Quiet, best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. Lovely view. Well equipped kitchen. Very easy to work with host thru emails. Can’t wait to come again.

Outstanding location
Loved this cabin on the beautiful coast of Oregon. Exactly as described and host was responsive and welcoming. Bed in Master is comfortable and it was nice to sleep with the gentle sound of the ocean. Lots of wildlife with close proximity to beach and forest walks.This is such a beautiful part of Oregon. We will definitely come back and would love to stay here again. It had everything we needed, including some very interesting books. Thank you!

Peaceful getaway - great views!
The house was perfect, it had everything we needed for a weekend stay on the coast. Gorgeous views of the ocean across the street. The neighborhood was very quiet which really allowed us to relax and enjoy the scenery. Lots of hikes just a short drive away.

Away from the crowds!
The interior of the house was a pleasant surprise as the photos do not do it justice. Good water pressure in the shower, comfortable furniture, no frills, but we will be back.

Classic Coastal Cottage
Nancy's place is everything I was looking for in a sweet, solo weekend getaway. The place is full of charm and being able to watch the waves come in from the dining room table was a treat. The adjacent beach is so secluded and easy to access. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I got real joy out of being able to watch VHS tapes again. Nancy - please don't change a thing to your sweet home, it is perfect. Looking forward to another stay soon!

Quiet and relaxing
Great spot that is away from the hustle of canon beach but close enough to enjoy it. The beach we were on had more “full” sand dollars than I’ve ever seen. Comfortable bed which is always good. We really liked it!

Very cool place to stay. There is a house that somewhat blocks your view of the ocean but you can hear the waves roaring against the rocks on the beach at night. The bed was a bit stiff for my liking but if you like a stiff bed you'll sleep well there and the couches are very Hardy. We absolutely love the artwork on the walls and a short walk to the beach. Although the access points are both eroding away quickly.

Perfect Getaway
I was looking for a personal retreat, and this property was absolutely perfect. It's quiet, close to the ocean, with beautiful trees all around. The cabin itself was well equipped and had every thing I needed. The hosts' directions were very helpful (don't use GPS, use the instructions that were sent). The host was quick to respond to my questions both before the stay and during, and I will likely be visiting this cabin again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Excellent location for those who want to get away from the noise an crowds.
We loved the location, the view out of the main room window, the close walk to the beach. The host’s instructions were very accurate. We found the house without problem. The cabin is small and not luxurious, but very clean and cozy and had all the basics we needed. We had a great time.

simply nice getaway
Although awkward to find at first, this cabin is a gem. You can see and hear the waves from the property and the stars at night were spectacular. There are nearby beach accesses and it is close to many beach parks as well as Cannon Beach and Manzinita. Not fancy or large if you are looking for that, but clean, well cared for and away from the beach crowds.

Wonderful cozy cabin

Amazing spot
This little community is so beautiful and peaceful. The people who live there are so friendly. Walk to the south end of the beach and there are tide pools. I found a great place for my hammock next to the house. Truly a stellar find!

Just perfect
The accommodation was great. A little dated but it "fit" with the cabin feel of the place. But the location: wow!! Except for at high tide, you can walk cape-to-cape in almost complete solitude. We never saw more than 4 others on it. I did meet one of the locals who told me "Welcome to paradise. Shhh!! I don't tell people where I live, I just say Manzanita." You can examine the life in the tide pools at either end of the beach here instead of fighting the crowds at Haystack Rock. We did both and you can see the same plants and creatures at either. The cabin is perfectly located for short drives to dining or top class hiking trails. Or you can just cook "at home" and pick from a massive selection of DVDs/Videos/Books. We would stay here again in a minute. We loved it.

Falcon Cove Getaway
When I booked this property I wasn't aware of how much we would truly need the getaway. We booked as a matter of convenience, but received some upsetting medical news about a parent the day before we were to leave for Falcon Cove. We were able to get off the grid for a bit and thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and the neighborhood. If you are looking for modern luxury, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a vintage beach cabin feel, you can look no further. The home has a wonderful location, with a beautiful view of the ocean and a private wooded area on one side of the house. The area is quite peaceful and it's maybe a 5 minute walk to the beach since the closer access point is not safe at present. This place is a gem and we will definitely be going back! Also, Nancy was wonderful to work with ;)

Lovely Rental
This is a lovely place in one of my favorite places on the Oregon Coast. The beds were firm and wonderful, the water pressure of the shower was the strongest I have ever experienced (this is a great thing). There were a plethora of dvd’s and really good ones... I don’t know who the owner is but I think we would get along based on their books and dvds and beds and shower! A+

Great place
You know how sometimes you show up to a rental and all they have is some worn-out-ass unfamiliar coffee maker and the pot of coffee just is not that good? It really kills the morning vibe. Well, not this place it had three ways to make coffee! The little things like that go a long way in making a place comfortable for a stay. The only thing I need to mention is at the price it comes out too after "owners fees" I would like a little bit more comfortable couch to sit on. That said, still gets an overall five stars.

Cozy Coastal Stay
Delightful location to call home for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed the nearby beaches and hiking trails. The house was pleasant, especially with the fireplace, but be prepared to supply your own firewood.

Great cozy cabin
We really enjoyed our stay and will likely try to book this house again next time we want to spend time at the coast. The place is super cozy with a lovely view of the ocean. The shower was pretty small, but had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The fireplace kept the place nice and cozy. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. No dishwasher or garbage disposal, but plenty of utensils, cookware, and dishes. Coffee maker, electric kettle, and french press for all your morning hot beverage needs. The bed was comfy, as were the couches. We enjoyed the easy beach access as well. I love that this place was dog friendly. The host was responsive and friendly and the place was clean (I think the reviews that stated otherwise were from people who have never lived in an older house).

Was cozy, partial view of the ocean and quiet neighborhood. Needed good cleaning
Could have been rated higher if it weren’t so “well-used “. Location was great, communication was good, although no phone service there. Needed a thorough cleaning. Pots and pans were quite worn, scratched. Linens and pillows smelled strongly mildewed which could have been a deal breaker if we didn’t cover them with our own blankets and pillow. Short drive to Cannon Beach and to hiking trails.

hi, the housekeeper and other guests have nto noticed a mildew smell . There is a dehumidifier in the cabin and we have done a deep clean since since this review. Nancy
