  • Our cozy beach house is located in the Arecibo neighborhood, on an island, with a magnificent view of the ocean. Our goal as hosts is for you to have the best vacation possible in a peaceful and relaxing environment. From the moment you open your eyes, you can see the ocean from your room. In this area, you can enjoy beautiful beaches, great food, and historic sites. Arecibo is also home to the world’s largest radio telescope. Our beautiful beach house is just a 3-minute drive from the famous statue of Columbus and a 2-minute drive from Cueva del Indio. It’s famous for its beaches, perfect for surfing or enjoying small natural pools with your family. At Villa Cecilia, you’ll have a unique experience, as it features a pool, a terrace with a hot tub, and a BBQ. The three bedrooms feature A/C and queen-size beds, along with 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, and a living room.

Second Time Around

This was my second stay in Puerto Rico and I loved this little house! Quiet location with plenty of space for my family. Hosts are very responsive and the property is clean! Nice place to stay!

I’m not one to leave reviews I usually forget to but this by far one of the best places I have stayed in Puerto Rico. The place was super clean and modern. Everything is as pictured and the bed was super comfortable. Great place will recommend to anyone.

Great family home

Great place to stay with family. Our kids loved the yard, basketball hoop, and pool! Not too far from the beach (4-5 min drive i would say).

Lovely

Cute house with wonderful outdoor space. We loved the pool and the roof deck. The location is great, in the relaxed outskirts of Aricebo. Lots of yummy restaurants and food trucks nearby. Many easily accessible beaches, each with their own charms. Host was responsive and helpful. We had a great stay!

Excelente lugar para pasar unos dias en familia y amigos. El lugar esta en lugar tranquilo, cerca del mar. Limpio y comodo. Excelente comunicacion con los dueños. De seguro volvemos. 110% recomendado.

We loved our stay at Villa Cecilia! The house is cozy and welcoming, the WiFi is fast, the house is well appointed and there’s a little super market just up the road for essentials. AC in the bedrooms is wonderful and if you open the doors in the morning the sea breeze is delightful. The hot tub was so nice, we loved the pool and the neighborhood cats, chickens and iguanas. For us this was a great home base to explore Hatillo, La Poza del Obispo, Arecibo and Manatí as well as El Yunque. Our only slight hiccup was not being able to find the address for navigation. I used the Catholic abbey pictured below (that is not the house!) to find “home” as it’s just two houses up the street. When we tried to plug the address into anything it just didn’t work, but no problem at all with the landmark on the corner. Our favorite was playing Yahtzee in the evenings and sitting in the hot tub while the sun set, and watching the sun rise from the roof top in the morning. Our hosts were super responsive and friendly. We hope to come back!

Very Nice Property

We stayed with our 3 kids and they enjoyed a lot. The house is very clean, quiet location with all necessary appliances in the kitchen. Bath towels are provided. We enjoyed a lot the pool and jacuzzi. Communication with the host was excellent. We went to a nearby beach, excellent for kids. It is La Poza de Don Guelo or Playa Caracoles. Also, La Puntilla is very good, a place to eat with various restaurants. We did brunch at a very good place called Simple. We exoect to return to Villa Cecilia again in the future.

We went to use the grill and it was dirty so we cleaned it out the best we can. I washed the towels and the washing machine kept moving so much . plus I didn't know so many steps to go up and down. Thanks again. If anyone else interested we will tell them about the beach house. Have a nice evening..

Beautiful off-the-beaten path beach house in Arecibo/Islote, PR

If you're looking to vacation off-the-beaten-path in Puerto Rico, look no further than beautiful Villa Cecilia in the Islote section of Arecibo, PR. Since the property is off a northern coastal route on an unnamed road, Victor, the property owner, sent us a pin drop with the exact location on the day of arrival. Victor met us on the property and gave us the tour of how everything is run (pool, hot tub, light switches, etc.) The property is exactly as Victor describes and photographs. The three bedrooms were clean and air conditioned. The master bedroom looks out on a pool and has a very comfortable, plush but firm mattress. The master bedroom has remote mood lighting, where you can change the brightness to warm or cool. Cold water was provided in the refrigerator, which we were thankful for since we hadn't brought any provisions upon arrival. A local grocery store is close by. The kitchen cabinets also had various food items that we were free to use. All kitchen tools were provided. A full-sized washing machine and dryer is also available, along with a shelf full of cleaning supplies. Victor texted us a list of nearby restaurants (we recommend Salitre a few minutes down the road), as well as a list of outdoor bars and food kiosks that sell everything from frituras (deep fried street food) to hollowed out pineapples with fresh tropical juices inside. The next morning, Victor sent us video of things to do from hiking at the Indian Cave (La Cueva del Indio), a few minutes down the road, to exploring the Window Caves (Cueva Ventana). Since hurricane Maria, beach erosion has done a number on the area beaches. Close by is Playa La Poza del Obispo that does have a wider sand area that overlooks a lighthouse. Area beaches have rough waves and rocky shores and are not overly child friendly. The property looks out on the ocean. From the upper roof deck, you can either be in the hot tub, hammock or suspended swivel chairs and have vantage point views of the ocean and surrounding hills. At night the crashing wave sounds lulled us to sleep. Don't be surprised if the area roosters wake you up in the morning. It's part of the charm. There is a home that abuts the property; the owners did a good job of masking it from the pool side. The area is quiet at night. It is fenced in and can be locked. The property is ideal for folks who want to escape the island resorts and chain hotels and instead experience a home away from home.

it's advertised ocean view, yes you can see the ocean, but truly there is a street and than a house and then the rental. The house next to the rental has rooster, so be prepared to hear them all night long. The rental was clean and nice and we really enjoyed the private pool. We couldn't figure out how to get the hot tub hot. There was no oven gloves or dish towels in the kitchen but plenty of towels for the showers. It was a nice place overall but for the price we expected a bit more.

Me gusto la pisina , el jacuzzi y que tienen generador electrico, puede mejorar la limpieza, deberian considerar un porton electrico , pues a la hora de salir y entrar el porton es bastante pesado y dificil de mover.
