La Lyre, our large nineteenth century family home nestled in the heart of the small medieval mountain village of Arles-sur-Tech, welcomes you to enjoy the bright sun and the fresh air of the Pyrenees in the refreshing shade of its century-old wisteria.

The apartment is ideally located with walking access to all amenities (e.g. bakery/café, butcher, supermarket, pharmacy, bank, etc.) and by car to the thermal baths near Amélie les Bains and Prats de Mollo.

The house has a bright 3 bedroom apartment upstairs which is completely renovated to a high standard with all modern conveniences including mesh wifi, excellent insulation and double glazing, heating and air conditioning. (in the main living area).

The fully equipped open-plan kitchen and barbecue have everything you need to prepare delicious meals, which are best enjoyed on the large terrace under the coolness of the wisteria.

In addition to a TV with Netflix/Chromecast, you'll find a trampoline, an inflatable wading pool, and plenty of books, toys, and board games to keep the whole family entertained.

Additional charges must be applied for bed linen and towels. These VARY depending on the size of the group and the length of stay. Due to the constraints of the platform, they will be counted separately and personally. Please contact us directly.

During peak season, we only accept bookings for 1+ weeks starting on Saturdays.

The apartment is upstairs and the house itself is located one level above street level and accessible by steep stairs. Therefore, this property is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

The house is opposite the old Romanesque church of Arles sur Tech.

The large terrace is sunny most of the day and covered with artificial grass and stones. The lower terrace is shaded by wisteria and cool all day.

The small medieval village of Arles-sur-Tech, on the river Tech in the Pyrénées-Orientales, has all the basic amenities (e.g. supermarket, bakeries, butcher, gas station, bank, tourist office, pharmacy, etc.) and is well situated to enjoy all that the area has to offer - from the natural hot springs of Amélie-les-Bains (4km) and Prats de Mollo, the colourful and lively Saturday market of Ceret, to the beautiful sandy beaches of Argelès. sur Mer (38km), the quietest of Pauliles (41km) and the very popular seaside fort of Collioure (45km).
In the village itself you will find many hikes (the GR10 Trans-Pyrénées passes behind the house), cycle paths, horse riding, basketball and tennis courts, a playground, a swimming pool, a gymnasium and a spa (Centre Sud Canigó Sports and Plein Nature). and the beautiful Tech River, all within walking distance of the maison.De plus, many activities are offered in the surrounding villages during the holiday season: hiking, cycling, horse riding, bouldering and climbing.
The nearest airports are Perpignan (45 km) and Girona (100 km) and the large international airport of Barcelona (190 km)

Getting around
There is a bus that connects Perpignan train station to the village (5min walk from the bus stop) and it is possible to get around by public transportation. However, it would be much more convenient to come with your own car. We provide free parking.
