Hotel a Arraute-Charritte

“We are confused as to how this B&B has such good reviews. We booked it based on these reviews, our need for tranquility and the pool. Firstly, we were surprised that the parking was on the opposite side of the road - it’s an open space in front of the church. Arriving at the front door, we were shocked to see an overflowing ashtray – not a good first impression. We were then greeted by ‘someone’ – the welcome was so cold that we wondered if in fact we were in the right place. He (turns out it...

“Really pleased with the accommodation we were offered. The room was clean, large and with comfy beds and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The surrounding area is incredibly quiet, so good sleep is guaranteed. We didn't have breakfast but, judging from the delicious smell and the nice breakfast room where it is served, it must be a good deal. A big thank-you to the receptionist, who really went the extra mile to guide us up to the parking. ”

“BLUF - excellent all round - book with confidence. Stayed for one night in transit. Easy to find and close to Autoroute. Off street dedicated parking. Reception was welcoming and efficient. Room was more than adequate for this price point, well appointed and with good bathroom. Efficient aircon. Ours had a spacious balcony. Dinner taken at the restaurant was superb, with attentive and professional servers, excellent food, and good wines. The hotel is quiet (our room faced the road), so...

“Impeccable ”

“Chambre propre, personnel très agréable .”

“The room was very clean & bright. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel was in the centre of this lovely town (Espelette) & next to the shops. I understand the breakfasts are well liked but I didn’t eat breakfast there. The was a helpful book re trails including the one to the top of the hill right opposite my bedroom window. I enjoyed the 11+ miles & 3 hills hike. The All Trails App nicely led the way. On the morning I left (early)!to hike up La Rhune (the highest hill in the...
