“This is a little gem to find - excellent accomadation and staff along with Quiet surroundings Food id second to none with a wide range for starters and main meal.Rooms are tastefully done with all the usual requirements and fresh milk is from a vacuum flask so its all fresh. Toilets are spotlessly clean and well laid out along with general condition is very good.Thank you and well done to all.”

“This was a beautiful country pub in a great wonderful location. We had dinner at the pub the evening we checked in and it was delicious, breakfast was too. All the staff were very helpful, nice, and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and and just all around lovely. We only wished that our stay had been longer. We will definatley return for longer soon. ”

“I spent a week at The carpenter's arms for holiday. The room was very comfortable and clean, the food was really good and the owner very nice. It was also close to the bus stop, so It was Easy to reach the station. I really loved that week.”

“Excellent check in. Very friendly staff. Extremely dog friendly. Room was spacious. All the fire doors in the corridors were a bit difficult to manage, but otherwise good. Food and drink was excellent and bar staff great. Excellent location being in the middle of the high street and the canal very close by for walking. Outdoor areas of the hotel were rather scruffy / dirty. Not a particularly nice area to sit close to the car park.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at this lovely pub.Set in a lovely little village. The staff were so friendly, the bedroom was very cosy, and warm. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. The breakfasts were very yummy and there was a choice of full English or cereals. Plenty of coffee or tea. The evening meals were delicious and good sized portions. There was always plenty of hot water in the bathroom and the room was lovely and warm. The village was so peaceful and we slept very well...
