We rented this property because we were going to Asheville for our oldest son's college graduation. Due to life...we were renting a place very last minute , and were thankful that Bill (the home owner ), was so incredibly patient with our abundance of questions , and was beyond accommodating ! He is literally the best host we have ever rented from , and we travel often. We traveled with my parents , as well as my younger children , ranging from 18-14 months !!! Bill was more than happy to host our entire family , which was a relief . I expressed concern about the caliper of the property as it pertained to my 14 mo old (who could break an anvil ....), And Bill allowed me to purchase a vacation rental insurance plan , just in case of the unlikely event that my daughter damaged something. It gave us both Peace of Mind , although he expressed to me over and over that his home was welcoming for the entire family.
My teenage boys loved the converted garage . They slept down there , watched TV, and loved the shuffleboard game. There is plenty of space for them to stretch out ,and just be kids.
The kitchen is absolutely phenomenal. My husband is cooking enthusiast , and he was simply enthralled by the kitchen. There is everything and anything you could possibly need ! Bill provided far more than expected .Just beyond! The house is super accessible which was a must for us . No super windy uphill climbs . The entrence is right by the road , yet the house is still nestled far enough back, that it feels private and open. There are a couple of close options for grocery stores , and fast food.
The one thing that blew us away was how beautiful the views are from the main window by the kitchen looking out. It's a gorgeous view, which we didn't expect , being so close to civility ;). I love mountain views , but don't want to be four wheel drive accessible to get them !
The house seems to go on for days inside. Room after room of immaculately decorated , yet still cozy rooms. We were able to both spread out , and also congregate with no problems. There are also plenty of TV's (which is a must for my sports enthusiast husband ☺️
The bedrooms are Ritz Carlton level exquisite. I agree with the other reviews , the pictures simply don't do the property justice at all. When we arrived at the property , it was decorated for Christmas , an exciting surprise and great for pictures! We are all thankful to Bill for his Flexibility and Hospitality !
