“Room was very nice, shower was excellent. There was a little miscommunication on the checking procedure, but that was corrected. The food at the restaurant was excellent as well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.”

“This is such a wonderful place. Very beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed sitting in the large covered porch and looking over city and French Broad River. The room was marvelous and shower was wonderful. Very clean and the bed was marvelous. We slept so well. We will be back!!!’ The host even reached out to see if we wanted to sleep in a bit to extend check out!!! “Upon arrival we had to walk the lodge to find someone to assist us with checking in. After the person we found made a call to find out where our room key was, we had to drive back to the gate house to pick them up. Our room was changed to a king, which was fine. However, there was a space heater going when we arrived and it had to stay on overnight due to being cold in the room. The water in the shower never heated up past luke warm. There was no one around in morning to find out about...

“Beautiful, peaceful setting away from it all. Great for golfers & equestrians. Has a nice restaurant & bar on the premises (not open every day). Very good food and nice view overlooking the pond. About 1/2 hour drive from Lake Lure, Chimney Rock & Tryon. Friendly, helpful staff!”
